A first rate Maine state park, nice beach, trails, changing house, etc.

This is a lovely state park in Maine on Georgetown Island. There is a very large sandy beach (where many in Maine are rocky). There is a changing house and outside there are outside showers to wash off the salt after you swim. The charge for non-resident seniors is $2 per day per person (not per vehicle). There is quite... Hiked during our trip to Grey Havens Inn- great hiking trails! This park is right down the road from the Inn. Great way to spend a day!

Reid State Park is a lovely spot, lots of rocks and pools plus a large sandy beach. We really enjoyed our time there but beware of biting insects including mosquitos. Maybe it was just the conditions while we were there but we both received multiple bites. Don't let this put you off, just take precautions particularly if you react badly... More

Crashing surf at the rocks on the point in spectacular climax on the right day. Best to see when there is a beach warning. Looks to be an excellent beach as well.

Great beach walking opportunities along with several hiking trails. Sandy ocean beaches along with quieter inland beach for calmer waters for children. Good views available of nearby coastline and offshore islands. Highly recommended for "getting away from it all", at least in the Fall.

While vacationing in the area for a week, we visited this park twice and loved it. The beaches were sandy with plenty of space to spend the day without being crowded next to another party. We brought a picnic lunch, walked the beaches and enjoyed a beautiful day!

We went to Reid State Park for a Clam Digging experience. We found in the local paper that they were having free clam digging where you could pick a peck of clams. What a great beach and fun time learning just how hard it is to dig clams! The beach was very clean and it was a great day overall... More

If the Reid state Park were not so far at the end of the peninsula it would be overrun by tourist. Instead there is a quite beach of sand and rocks that are delightful to visit at any age. Bring your children or your parents. There are picnic tables and barbecue grills for those that want to stay for the... More

What a wonderful find! Great place for couples, families, and photographers. So many great photo ops here with completely different scenery. It will seem like you've been to many different places. Rocky shoreline, crashing waves, sandy beach, trails, bridge over the water, flowers, and a picnic area with tables. The bonus: real bathrooms and plenty of parking. They only negative... More

Another beautiful Maine State Park. We had never visited this park before, until attending my company picnic. Miles of beautiful beaches and rocky areas to explore. My husband and son enjoyed fishing. The facilities were clean and well maintained. We will visit this park again.
