We did the Lobster cruise and had a fantastic time. I wasn't sure whether to expect a relaxing ride on the water, or The Deadliest Catch. It was very relaxing. Laura picked us up in front of Coffee by Design / L.L. Bean. She was very friendly, and gave us a narrated tour about Freeport as she drove us to the harbor. At the harbor, we transferred to the boat. Captain Peter and Laura slowly guided the boat out through the harbor, and provided commentary about what we were seeing. Unfortunately there were no seals, but that's the way it goes. Anyone who wanted to could put on a smock and gloves and help to lift out or throw back the lobster traps. Laura and Captain Peter provided lessons about how lobstering works, and allowed us each to hold a lobster. We then maneuvered back through the harbor to the dock. This was definitely the highlight of our day trip to Freeport. A+!

Great tour boat trip from Freeport ME to Eagle Island off Harpswell in Casco Bay, the 1900s home of Admiral Peary, the first to reach the North Pole. Very nice and comfortable small (capacity about 20) boat, a lovely 45-minute trip across the bay, very well-conducted by a very friendly and engaging couple/owners. This tour is conducted Fridays thru Mondays from June-Labor Day.

A great tour of South Freeport harbour and out to some of the nearby islands. Pulling the lobster traps was fun too. They shared some local history as well. A really good way to show our out of state friends some local highlights.

My friends were visiting from NY/RI and this tour of oyster farm Mere Point was
the highlight of their weekend! Peter and his crew couldn't have been more professional and informative. The visit to the oyster farm was wonderful...they provided an abundance of fresh oysters for us to eat and they gave a super
presentation on the nature of oyster farming!

Peter was a great host on his converted Lobstering turned Tour Boat! Comfy ride for all us aboard (apx. 15 adults) - the seats had cushions! Knowledgeable about the surrounding area and provided a bit of history & significant sights along the way to Eagle Island - we even got to see seals! Once there, we were able to leave our bags on board and enjoy the self-guided tour around the historic island! I had no idea that Admiral Peary, a Maine native, was the first to make it to the North Pole!
On the way back, we docked right at the local Lobster Shack and had a great lunch too!

Wonderful trip across beautiful Casco Bay to Eagle Island with Captain Peter on the Pamula B. Pickup to drop off was smooth and easy. Capt. Peter and his first mate were extremely knowledgable telling us about the many islands and the ecology of the bay as well as pointing out seals and shorebirds. Eagle Island, the home of Admiral Peary, is now a state park with a commanding view of Casco Bay. The audio self-tour and short movie were very informative and after viewing the house you have time for a short hike or for a relaxing snack on the beach or lawn while enjoying the spectacular view. All in all a super trip! Highly recommend.

A rainy morning cleared off to a gorgeous sunny, fall, afternoon. We boarded the Pamela D after being picked up in their van right on Main Street as described. A delightful ride about 5 miles to the harbor. Let the adventure and education begin... the Captain and his helper both clearly love and have lived in Maine for decades. Their collective knowledge of the animals, sea life, islands, homes and history held our attention for the entire trip. Pull in a real lobster trap and examine it's contents and you get a taste of Maine that is well worth the visit.

Thanks for the review and for joining us on our adventure! We love taking people out on the water and showing off all the hidden treasures of Freeport Maine. Cheers, Captain Pete

Thoroughly enjoyed our adventure yesterday with Seacoast Tours. We're staycationing this summer, doing all the local touristy things close to home, and we hadn't been to Eagle Island yet. Seacoast Tours makes it easy with a pickup by van intown where there's lots of available parking. Laura was very personable. friendly and accommodating as both our van driver and our First Mate on board the boat. Captain Peter shared lots of great information on the way out to the island, and even gave us the rare opportunity to see an osprey nest up close (but at a safe distance for us and the birds). You rarely see them nest at eye level so I had never seen a parent & baby osprey in a nest so close to us! Highly recommend this excursion, one of the most enjoyable we've had locally!

We have been to Eagle Island before, but this was our first time with Calendar Islands Tours. We were picked up in town by a shuttle that took us to the waterfront in South Freeport , and therefore didn't have to worry about finding a parking space in the limited area of South Freeport.. We boarded the boat, and the crew was very knowledgeable. We saw seals, dolphins, and many birds before reaching Eagle Island. A very nice trip all around. Good job Calendar Islands Tours!

We loved the tour to Eagle Island. The crew was very knowledgeable of the sites we saw along the way, and the island itself was really cool.
