Whether you are a bird-watcher or just someone who loves to walk in a beautiful natural setting, Gilsland Farm Audubon Center is a great place to visit. You can walk on one of several paths and enjoy a fantastic display of peonies in the spring. There is also a fabulous gift shop with wonderful t-shirts, educational materials, and books.

It is close by and readily accessible. Great trails and an amazing variety of bird life, for those interested.

We went specifically to see the peonies in bloom and were pleasantly surprised by all the stuffed animals in the center. Some very nice photographs as well. If you need gifts for bird lovers on your list, they have many items of interest. The gift shop is well stocked with bird feeders, books, t shirts, caps, etc. I rate this... More

My nephew was married on the grounds of this Audubon Center in late November and it was quite a beautiful location to be married on.

What a great property. Attended a workshop in the main building. The trails are otherworldly and the area was peaceful. I look forward to return there in the future.

This expanse of land on the Presumpscot River estuary is a lovely oasis between urban Portland and suburban Falmouth. Quite an expanse of undeveloped land, half fields, half woods with walking trails through both. You will often see wild turkeys and sometimes deer and always lots of birds, sometimes herons and Canada geese honking and flying overhead on their way... More

The Falmouth Audubon has the advantage of being close to Portland as well as Falmouth, a beautiful oasis close to the city of walking trails, very scenic and peaceful. I have seen a variety of wildflowers and birds here on my many visits. There is a nice educational center here as well. I have also visited several times when they... More

Explore Gilsland Farm and see not only wildlife but also incredible stone and metal sculptures along your hike. Great gift shop has wildlife guides, cards, toys, and tee shirts.

The staff at Gisland Farm are all extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. I would love to go back during the spring/summer/fall, as it was a very cold day in February. The husband and wife who brought the snowy owl for the book release were so pleasant, just all around nice experience. Definitely want to go back!
