Paid to park based on number of people in vehicle. Walked the trail around island. Created a nature Memorial for a fur baby who passed. Enjoyed viewing intricate fairy houses. So glad we took a wrong turn and found it.

Great little island which is small enough to hike around in only an hour or so but big enough to offer some great views and plenty of room to roam around on. There is a small entry fee but minimal and the trails are nice,...More

A great place for family exploration on the island. Ocean view on the water- build fairy houses out of all the resources laying on the ground. A fun place for a childs imagination. Highly recommended.

As far as islands, Mackworth is okay. You can't drive on it because it's restricted, but you can hike on the trails and see some magnificent views. The drive on the bridge to the island and back is pretty, especially at low tide.

Always a family favorite for a short walk in the woods and rocky beach adventure. Easy walking trail around the island. Lots of dog walkers, runners etc. Parking can be tight on nice days and weekends you may have to wait.

This place is GREAT for a little outdoors walk & fun for couples/family. Weather is key though because it is exposed to the ocean, hence “island” With its accessibility via car and being relatively close to Portland and her suburbs, it makes for an easy,...More

Nice trails as well as ocean shoreline to walk around the island. We found an Irish setter and horse cemetery which had a beautiful wall encircling the area. Nice sandy beach areas to explore as well as a natural forest area of fairy houses. You...More

Great place to sneak away to to have lunch or walk the water front. Cool signs and troll houses and villages throughout the area
