Beautiful State Park
Oct 2020
Beautiful camping and picnic sites. Camp sites are well spread out and allow for privacy. The park was clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, the Maine State Park stamp was missing.

we walked around looking at all the incredible sites in this park. so many awesome spots. we’ve been to quite a few campgrounds and state parks, the sites here are
more impressive than any we have seen. access to sinks and showers is limited but available.. plenty of wood to find for burning.. we love this place

Quintessential downeast Maine. Ocean, fog and forest.
Aug 2019
Ocean, ledge, and forest a great place for a quiet sunrise. Easy access to Lubec, Campebello Island (and the Roosevelt summer home), and fishing off the breakwater in Eastport. Don’t miss the nearby Moosehorn reserve for hiking and birding. The deep bays make great kayaking

The campsites are private, well spaced, and quiet. I had a drive through site, #10 where my rv was level and overlooking the water! Do bring insect repellent for the evenings.

Large secluded campsites
Jul 2019
Very nice rustic campgrounds. Large sites, spaced out from each other. Great place to relax. Has pit toilets, but does have a show house. Good view of bay from many of the sites. Not very crowded.

Spectacular and wild
Jun 2019 • Couples
This is a park to experience the beauty and wildness of Maine. The park is huge, campsites are well separated and very private. The incredible tides make a waterfront site the best choice. Come prepared to face vicious mosquitoes. They are very determined, but a good repellent keeps them at bay.
There are no hook-ups, but there is a bath house with good showers, and plentiful water spigots throughout the campground. Large RVs and trailers must be very cautious since branches are low in the camping loops and some pull-thru sites have to be backed out of because of branches.

Maine Beyond the Crowds
Aug 2018 • Couples
Rustic, remote and beautiful — Cobscook Bay State Park offers large and private camp sites and lovely areas for picnic, playground and walking. Dog-friendly. Outhouses are pretty funky but the showers are clean and hot. Lots of natural beauty in the area to explore, as well as the Roosevelt’s home at Campobello and the artsy town of Eastport. Great and inexpensive seafood, blueberries in season. Bring bug spray! There are two wheelchair accessible sites with a special outhouse.

Rustic Setting with many beautiful and very private sites
Aug 2018 • Couples
We do a lot of traveling and enjoy dry camping in many parts of the country. In all our travels, and all our 40+ years of tenting, RVing, etc., we have never had a site that combined privacy and beauty as we found in Site 102 here at Cobscook Bay State Park. We found most, but not all, of the other sites in the campground to be scenic, and offer above average privacy. We found all staff members to be welcoming and enjoyable. The park also offers a couple of relatively short, but very nice trails through the woods.

Beautiful camping spot and great location.
Aug 2018
We had camping site #4 which was private with a wonderful view of the bay next to a little island (at high tide) or peninsula (at low tide). A beautiful place to stay with very helpful staff. Also a great location for exploring Eastport (eastern most city in the US), Lubec (eastern most town in the US), Quoddy Head light house (Eastern most point in the US, and Campobello Island, New Brunswick with FDR's summer cottage and an international park run jointly by US and Canada.

Pretty sites
Aug 2018 • Friends
We stayed here for a week in early August. The location is great for exploring Campobello Island, Quoddy Head state park, and is only about 10 minutes to Lubec. Our campsite had great views and was quiet. When we arrived, the site was clean and the tent area was nicely raked. There were incredible stars at night, as there is little light pollution. The only thing that bothered me was occasional car and truck noise from nearby roads late at night and early in the morning; I was expecting more of a wilderness experience, and engine noise makes me sad. But other than that, I recommend camping here..
