Very friendly volunteers to help you through the exhibits. Husband loved the maritime display and artifacts and I enjoyed the kitchen exhibit. Really a great spot to go back to the past on this special island.

This is a great little museum with an incredible amount of information about Deer Isle, and Island and fishing life in general. Anyone interested in history should plan to spend a couple of hours there!

Wonderful new barn with excellent exhibits about life on Deer Isle from native Americans to the fishing industry to home life, the Sellars home, heirloom gardens, archives, and more.

Not particularly remarkable for a small Maine community, but not an unpleasant or unsatisfactory interlude. A good time-killer, but don't make a special trip.
