We visit this lovely gallery and book store every time we visit Maine. We find the art, crafts and books to be curated with tasteful selections representing a wide range of artists and craftsmen. Gary and Rosemary are gracious and helpful. You will not regret a visit.

Visited twice: both times we bought lovely wooden pieces. Each time the owners ensured that our purchases were packed right so they wouldn't be damaged as we drove them hours away. They have a huge range of items (glass, wool, wood, jewellery and more) and even a barn full of vintage books and magazines. Very friendly and worth a stop after you've had a lobster roll at the Wharf Gallery and Grill or just on its own.

This is a great gallery featuring local artists work. Two different buildings with lots to look at. It is worth the trip if you are in the area.

This little shop, located in a very rural part of northern, coastal Maine has a fantastic array of art and works by local artists. The owner, Rosemary, is quite an accomplished and talented rug hooker. She and her husband made an exception to their winter hours and opened for us today (a Friday) since we were in the area and could only visit midday. They have a unique selection of rare books as well. Well worth travelling the back roads to find them.

Great little ship for browsing original art and crafts from local Maine artisans. One of a kind gifts, vintage books, and jewelry. Excellent hooked rugs and fabric crafts. Worth a stop and browse when you're in Corea.

We enjoyed browsing the used book house while here! Next time hopefully the rest of the shop will be open so we can see even more. We caught them on their day off for hiking!

We stop in to this gallery every year and there is always an astonishing collection of art works by Maine artists. We have purchased a couple of fabulous wood block prints and we always enjoy rummaging through the old books. The owners are very personable and are always delighted to talk about the artists and the collection.

Maine has an abundance of art galleries and I have enjoyed each one that I have visited, but CHAPTER TWO is my favorite. First, it has a great array of works by local artists. Second, it has a beautiful setting. Third, it has a friendly staff. It is near the village of Corea where Maine artist Marsden Hartley, who knew Picasso, Gertrude Stein, and other art world giants, spent his last years.
