When I exited my car I felt like I was in a secret, private, meditative place. The only sound I heard was loons calling on the lake. The sunset was a sedative. The lodge was beautifully appointed, spacious, immaculate and extremely comfortable. The cool fresh...More

A perfect lake. Big enough but not too big. Mountain views, sunsets, warm water for swimming, and many covers for fishing. Also the Center Lovell cafe with gourmet food and wifi in the mountains of western maine. You just can't beat it.

We used the town beach. It is clean, uncrowded, friendly, and comfortable. Bring a beach chair so you can sit on it in the very clear water and enjoy the view.
