We have a family owned and operated guide service and campground located in Caratunk Maine. We strive to provide folks with the most fun and best service possible . Let's go toobing!

We had a great time on the river, Steve guided us and advised us on what to expect. The tubes were good quality and comfortable, hardly felt any bumps.
The river provided some splashes and some fun but we never felt like we would fall out of the tube. The Kennebec is beautiful on a sunny day, our day was somewhat overcast but we still enjoyed it, and Steve and Tammy were great with the reservation, communication and narration.
If you want to have a little bit more excitement than a leisurely tube ride down the river than the Bubble Trip is the way to go!

Five stars is not enough for the exemplary treatment you'll receive from Steve and Tammy. The best experience we've ever had with a service provider by whole orders of magnitude. They are incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and informative. Authentic human beings at their finest!

We stayed at the campground and tubed down the river. The owner was very helpful and nice. She gave us great tips on things to do. Campground is small but was perfect for our family. We had two sites and they were clean and not close to others so we didn't have to worry about our dog visiting other people.

This adventure was amazing. Our group had so much fun! Steve and Tammy Toothacker are amazing and very knowledgeable. The floting cooler provided was perfect for our drinks and munchies. I highly recommend Bullfrog Adventures. I have already booked our next adventure here.

I have been to Bullfrog Adventures time and time again, and every single time I've had a GREAT experience. Yes people, even in thunder, lightening, and rain!
Tammy and Steve are great Maineiacs and know what they're doing--you're in good hands. Summer storms in Maine rarely last long, and a few times I've been "stuck" on the river in a downpour (and one time in thunder and lightening, it was quite an adventure for sure!) If it's on the chilly side or a storm is forecast, they have wet suits, fleece, etc. you can borrow. Even in the storms I've had a great time! We attach a tube that holds a cooler, and off we go with our drinks and food, ready to enjoy the river and waves.
I have never once flipped my tube or fallen out, even in the bumpy whitewater sections! The tubes are safe, clean, and comfortable. Tammy and Steve run a shuttle service too, so you don't have to worry about getting your car wet.
We camp here regularly and they have the cleanest outhouses (not to mention they let you use the showers and flush toilets in the bottom area of the camp if you're into "glamping" more than camping). The sites are so private and spacious! Nice fire rings and benches. The water is clean and delicious. The local boat launch is just up the street and every time we've been there it's either been empty or there's only been a handful of other people. A great swimming spot or put in for small boats.
This area of Maine is absolutely gorgeous. Tubing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, and camping at Bullfrog Adventures will give you the perfect Summer-in-Maine experience. I can't say enough good things!

Our group of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon floating down the Kennebec. The campground was clean, private, and a steal at $20.00 a night. Bullfrog Adventure owners, Steve and Tammy, sure know how to run a business! We'll be back...

WOW! What a fun experience tubing down the Kennebec for the very first time. Thanks to Steve and Tammy, I felt totally comfortable and taken care of. They explained everything clearly and made sure we all knew where we would be picked up at the end. Bullfrog Adventures is very well organized and friendly with great customer service from top to bottom. You will be taken care of here so you can have FUN!

Our trip with Bullfrog Adventures was terrific! Steve and Tammy were very friendly, well organized and provided great service. We rented tubes and had a very relaxing float for 8 miles or so down the Kennebec, riding the extra water released from a dam upstream. There was just enough current to be fun without being intimidating. They transported us to the start point at The Forks (where the Dead River enters the Kennebec) and picked us up at a designated spot downstream. All in all, a very enjoyable day.

We spent a little over two hours tubing down the Kennebec River. This was a first for both of us and we received excellent and most helpful safety instructions, guidance and the trip was as wonderful as promised. Next time we'll stay at the campground too. Thank you Bullfrog Adventures!

My boyfriend and I were on vacation and staying in Belfast. He had never been river tubing before so I did my research and decided to book a trip with Bullfrog Adventures and what a wonderful time we had! We were able to leisurely tube down the river at our own pace and enjoy the sights and sounds that Maine has to offer. We had such a good time that we were planning on another adventure at the end of our week but unfortunately my boyfriend was a bit more sunburned than he would have preferred so that nixed round 2 on the river for us. Lucky for me he's got the tubing bug now so there will be a lot more riding down the river in our future. Bullfrog Adventures added so much to our beautiful vacation in Maine. Thanks!
