Great Place to Explore Maine’s Rockbound Coast
May 2021
If you sought tranquility and great family picnic spots, this was the place. The park’s grounds had dozens of picnic tables on paths by the rocky shoreline. It also had bike racks, gravel lot parking, interpretive signs, and some old military fortifications to explore. Restrooms were still closed for the winter. Entrance fees were inexpensive. Parking was in a paved and gravel lot. The area’s two lighthouses, for which the park is named, were not in the park itself. I liked all that I found here.

A real gem

This may be my favorite state park close to Portland with beautiful trails through forest and aside the crashing surf. Magnificent views and forest with an intimacy not found in the more crowded parks. A real highlight to our visit.

Cape Elizabeth Headlight aka Two Lights - Private residence
Oct 2020 • Couples
The Headlight is privately owned and is located at the end of a street so there is no parking. It’s a beautiful headlight though. You’ll pass the second light on your left before you get to the end of the street. Don’t try to walk over from Two Lights state park. You can’t see it.

2nd Best Lighthouse
Oct 2020
Close to the Portland Head Lighthouse, this is a nice park. You can take in both of these lighthouses while in the area.

Not to be missed

This is an amazing state park. As I was paying my $7 out of state fee, the young guy at the gate almost talked me out of coming in. “No place to swim and no lighthouse or lighthouse view”. He failed to mention the sweeping views of the Atlantic unlike any other ive seen. The views are absolutely the most amazing. Bring a picnic lunch as there are many amazing places to sit and eat - there are even bbqs available!! Wear sturdy walking shoes so you can get down on the rocks, a camera to share pics with your friends, and lotsa time to just wander, sit, reflect and enjoy!

Another picturesque spot on the coast
Jul 2020
Picturesque spot on the coast with a rocky outlook over the shoreline worth a stop on the Cape Elizabeth drive. We did see the one lighthouse on the drive out as well.

A must place I take visitors to the Portland area. Kids like it, too. Admission inexpensive for seniors.

Beautiful view

The cliff walk is beautiful. It was a little busy, but worth it. The light houses and history behind them is neat. Grand kids love it

2 for the price of 1
Jul 2020
There is 2 lighthouses here both considered Cape Elizabeth one is inactive and hard to see (unless on the rocks and it located way to the left) and the other active and can be seen very well from the parking lot and beach side. There is plenty of free parking there and a cute area to have a picnic and a restaurant to eat at is located right next door.

Great ocean view for miles and miles.
Watching the crashing waves was very humbling. I loved the park benches you could sit for hours just enjoying nature.
