The dog sledding was a totally fun adventure. I highly recommend it. There were ten in our group and everyone loved it. We got there early and took advantage of the opportunity to meet the dogs. All the dogs are friendly and just can’t wait to run. The guides/drivers were very nice and told us a lot about the dogs etc. We did the two hour ride which I would highly recommend as you get a lot of time out in the woods with a stop halfway to stretch your legs. Note: there is a little store next to the parking lot where you meet and they graciously allow you to use their bathroom, which is very clean. The ride is bumpy so do take advantage of the opportunity before getting on that sled!

Our daughter and her husband and 2 girls gave us the ultimate 1 hour dog sledding experience for Christmas this year. We had never done it before but expected we would have a good time. Alex was the person that we booked with, the whole crew is fantasitc, including those beautiful dogs. It is definately and experience of a lifetime, some people go to Alaska to have this experience, I'm glad we can say we did it in our home state of Maine. The boys are very friendly and answered all our questions. We give this a 5 for sure. Recommend this for couples amd families. The Campbell's

I booked a one hour dog sled ride as a surprise birthday gift to my husband and invited his sister and our brother-in-law to join us. It was a fantastic experience, more than we expected! My husband was thrilled and he's not sure how to top it for my birthday! Both of our guides were super friendly, personable and enhanced the ride greatly by telling us the names and traits of the dogs pulling us, educating us on dog sledding in general and letting us know about other rides we could do in the future. We tipped well!! All four of us want to go again on a much longer adventure and will use this outfitter again, definitely. It was right in our "backyard" 20 minutes away. We are so blessed to have something like this so close.

We enjoyed this experience thoroughly! Took our family for this fun afternoon during February school vacation - ages ranged from 4 to 66. We all walked away with smiles and an appreciation for this sport. The owners, guides and helpers were all informative, friendly and very accommodating and might we say the "stars" of the show were happily doing their thing...running! Very enjoyable. Would recommend to anyone who loves dogs, people and the outdoors!

We did this experience for my fiancé’s birthday and it was awesome!!! We had so much fun learning about dog sledding, enjoying the scenery and of course playing with the dogs. We recommend doing the two hour ride, one hour wouldn’t be enough. We also recommend wearing snow goggles to protect your eyes from the wind, we found wearing them helpful. Our guide was so knowledgeable about each dog and gave us so much information. It’s amazing how powerful the dogs are and how much they love what they do. We took a short break half way through the trip and the dogs certainly could have kept going. We would love to go again!

Wow!! What an experience!! Took my fiancé for his 50th birthday and at first the weather did not cooperate and the rain wiped away the trails but Alex emailed me and said he was looking at other trails where there was snow and would we be willing to travel another 30-45 mins. Ummmm yes!!! And boy was it worth it. Our guide was so informative as my fiancé asks a lot of questions. Lol. The dogs were so amazing and absolutely loved doing their thing. They were hyper and ready to go but also took time for los of adorable photos. I highly recommend doing the Ultimate dog sled adventure when in Maine. You will not be disappointed and it will be everything you hoped for and more!!

If dogsledding is on your bucket list, then the Full Day Intro to Dogsledding is for you. Our day started with learning how to hook up the team of dogs. We learned hand signals and commands before going out on our first run. The terrain was good for novice dog sledders.
Lunch was provided between the morning and afternoon runs. We enjoyed homemade soup, sandwiches, and water. Special accommodations were made for a gluten-free diet.
In the afternoon, we were introduced to a new team of dogs and went on a more challenging trail. Our guide assessed our ability during the morning run and chose a trail that was suitable to our ability.
It was apparent that the dogs were well cared for and loved. The dogs were friendly and interacted well with other dogs and humans. Our guide, Austin, knew each dog by name. He could tell you the name of the dog's parents, grandparents, siblings, and cousins. He personally knew each dog's preferences.
It is important to mention, that this company makes sure the dogs also have an ultimate dogsledding experience. If a dog is tired or doesn't want to pull, they do not force the dog to pull a sled. They swap out the dog for one that is eager to run.
We highly recommend the Introduction to Dogsledding Package.

Always wanted to do it and glad we found Alex and his team! My wife and I (late 50s) live locally and booked the the three hour trip to the top of Streaked Mountain....exhilarating going up and thrilling coming down! Wonderful trip that gets you outdoors for a unique, beautiful and peaceful time traveling through the woods. Alex is great, full of energy, information and shares his love of dogs, sledding and the outdoors. We were non-stop on questions, answers and stories! Loved it and highly recommend this trip to locals and visitors alike! Great gift idea for all ages!! We like to give "experience gifts" and this is one we will be sharing for sure!

We took the 10 am 2 hour experience on 2/21/21 and if you have the time and money it is well worth it. For a February it was a sunny and somewhat warm day (in the 30's). The conditions on the trail guide were perfect. The musher is well knowledgeable and you can easily talk with him during the ride. The dogs are friendly and I strongly recommend you get there early to play and meet the dogs. I was amazed at the pulling power of just 6 dogs! They are well cared for. Can't wait to try the mountain experience! .

I got this for a Christmas gift for my husband and he LOVED it! The ride was so fun and the musher was very knowledgable. He shared so much information about the dogs (what they feed them, how they get them to drink enough water, how they train them, how they determine which ones go where in the line up). There wasn't a question we asked that he couldn't answer. Add to that the gorgeous views on the ride, passing other sled dog teams and friendly snowmobilers. Truly a great experience!
