This is a wonderful library for booklovers. As a former 3rd grade teacher, I loved the bench outside the children's section. The legs of it are children's books written by New England authors, including Robert McCloskey. When I was there, they also had a quilt...More

We were a little "touristed out" and the library is the perfect respite. We browsed their stacks, used their facilities, and sat on the outdoor benches to relax and enjoy the beautiful view. I think the library was one of the highlights of Camden.

While we visited Camden, the library was hosting a Children's Book Day and it was incredibly well-attended. The interior of the library is beautiful and very welcoming. The grounds, which include the Amphitheater are just as beautiful. As a matter of fact, the library co-sponsored...More

Camden solved its library space needs in a most unique way- by building underground. They have maintained the simple beauty of the original building while providing a great library space. Worth a visit!

My sister and I stopped in here randomly to cool down and unwind before our sunset sailing. It was very beautiful and sunny inside.

Not only is the library a beautiful little treasure, but the grounds are immaculate and the view of Camden harbour is worth the stop.

OK, is it weird to go to the library every afternoon because it's so adorable? It looks like something out of a movie. We were in Camden for a week, and one day it drizzled so we popped into the library and read the paper....More
