We were looking forward to walking through the nature center. There was a good overall map posted but none available to carry. I took a pix with camera to help. Trees were numbered so you knew the path you were on but there weren’t enough...More

Our apologies that the kiosks were out of maps when you visited. We try to keep them stocked, but occasionally they run out. We hope you will visit again, and if the office is open, please stop in for additional information.

After reading on other sites that dogs were allowed here and not finding anything to the contrary on their own site, we were just emphatically asked in a uniquely New England manner to leave with our 8 pound leashed and well-behaved Yorkie. Since we travelled...More

We are sorry that the other sites you visited had misinformation regarding Merryspring's dog policy, and thank you for bringing to our attention the need to clarify the policy on our own website. For several years we allowed dogs in the park, but despite our...More

Delightful place. What a treasure. I volunteer at a native garden in ct and I know how much work it takes to keep garden and grounds in check. The gardens are beautiful. They may not knock your socks off beautiful but any good gardener will...More

This was the most average of the botanical gardens we visited in Maine. But Summer flowers were pretty and setting quiet. There was one other couple when we visited. The only negative was the mosquitos on the trails in the woods, so take bug spray. The...More

Just off Rt1 behind Hannafords. Short trails. Great feeling of Maine. Private yet accessible. No dogs allowed. Anymore.

Really super way to spend an hour. The actual garden is the jackpot/destination of what can be an hour-long walk through the surrounding woods of this enchanting public-private partership. There's no admission fee (and no personnel on duty when we toured), but there are maps...More

I've read the previous reviews and I'm sure that the folks who run this place are well-intentioned, but we had some difficulties. The map provided was very hard to follow, and the points on the trail were not very well marked. The flower garden was...More

Went for a hike around the perimeter trail - a little uneven in places because of tree roots but that's to be expected in the forest. Take mosquito spray along as they were pretty active. Had a lovely wander through the garden area taking pictures....More
