Ski rental over here is such a joke especially with their attitude. Wouldn’t loan me ski boots and had to purchase the whole package yet if you go on the website they do rentals for them. The people selling tickets and at the rentals have absolutely horrible attitudes and no customer service whatsoever with the way they talk and treat customers. Shocking especially seeing that this is a family oriented mountain/establishment. I ultimately got a refund for the rentals and sold my lift tickets. Never coming back again.

I was supposed to go here with an accomplice but they got injured the night before we were supposed to go so I went by myself. The lodge is closed due to COVID-19 so I got ready before I left, got my ticket and hopped on a lift. The first thing I realized is that most of the trails do not have signs telling you how easy or hard they are. However there is a map at the end of both lifts so it wasn’t a problem. There’s only two lifts and both were open when I went. The three person chairlift has a view of the ocean from the top. The green circle trail on that side was closed when I went but you would have to take a blue square to get to it anyway. The 2nd easiest way down was a blue square on the left right next to the loading area for the triple chairlift. The other chairlift was a double chairlift and wooden. Although some reviewers said that it is rickety, I disagree. It is padded, so you are not sitting on the wood and the backs are painted black or grey so I didn’t realize it was wooden until a few runs in. That lift only hand access to three trails. One green circle and 2 blue squares. That side was a lot less icy then the triple chairlift side. However the ice was not miserable. The worst of it was on the flat part right before the parking lot. Speaking of the parking lot, it is dirt so if you are squeamish about dirt, you have been warned. I did not expecting to spend the whole afternoon there like my ticket was for as I do not usually like skiing alone. But I had fun and ended up staying till they closed. I would go again

The bartender at Sea Dog Brewery recommended we take the chair lift to see the fall foliage at Camden Snow Bowl and it was an awesome experience. 10.00 a person ticket and it was a great way to see the beauty and the foliage. We were able to get some amazing photos!

We were celebrating a 12th birthday at the nearby Samoset and decided to pop over to the Snow Bowl on our way home. We arrived after 1 and bought half day lift tickets and full rental gear (including nice helmets) for two kids for about $100. Every person we encountered was SO friendly and helpful. I almost didn't go thinking it was too late, blah blah blah but IT WAS PERFECT. I seriously LOVE THIS PLACE, and almost didn't want to say anything because it is so amazing and special because it seems to be such a secret. But for families or even hardcore skiers, seriously, the Snow Bowl is awesome. Totally friendly, easy to park and navigate because it is so tiny and old school and it is perfect that way. They have a ski shop for tuning up or buying a pair of gloves, a little "A" frame with snack bar and sunny back porch for spectating and soaking up rays, a magic carpet and bunny slope (where the tubing hill used to be) right next to a beginner friendly lift. I remember coming here 20 years ago and making it to the top where you can see the OCEAN... how cool is that? This visit I sadly didn't have my snow gear but I felt totally safe to let my girls range freely. I could easily keep them almost always in sight, but truly it would have been fine if I couldn't. This is kid heaven. And pretty awesome grown up heaven too. The two girls I brought, both 12, one has been skiing a lot, but my daughter hadn't been on skis since she was 2, yet they both had a total blast. They started on the magic carpet, I hung out nearby and coached a little but they really didn't need me, and soon they felt brave enough to try the beginner lift. The sweet young man running it slowed it down and talked them through the process, and they disappeared up over the crest of the hill and then I watched them fly back down. I love that the usual skiing stress was completely absent. We got there late, by the time they were ready to go it was probably 2, so they had 2 solid hours of winter joy which was really the perfect amount on a beautiful early spring sunny afternoon. This is an AMAZING place for beginners all the way to seasoned skiers (I saw quite a few hardcore telemarkers too!) and the perfect antidote to bigger hassle-ier mountains.

My family which included my dad, boyfriend and little sister went skiing. It has few trails but they are steep and fun for a day but it isn't anything spectacular. However we had to rent skis and THE PEOPLE ARE TERRIBLE. They are rude, mean and not sociable people which you would think they would be. I have never left so mad from a place. I hate people who work with people and are rude especially when a person has a disability and granted they didn't know but the workers exact words are, "your the last one holding us up so we can't go home". VERY RUDE TO SAY TO ANYONE, let alone a person who was obviously struggling. I will never go back and pay $200+ for crappy attitudes. They should rehire new service if they want to keep running. They were also very rude to my sister. Grabbed her by the helmet and told her to keep her head up. VERY MAD.

We decided to take the chair lift to the top of the mountain for the views and for $5.00 who can beat that, right?! Well they failed to tell us that the chairlift is old and rickety and scary as heck! Not to mention that apparently extreme off road bikers also flock to this spot to ride the lift to the top and scream down the hill doing a buck twenty yelling at you from behind to get the H%$## out of the way, before flying past you by a hairs breath. I had second thoughts about taking my life in my hands by going back down the chairlift, but I was more worried about being run over by one of the yeha's on the bike, so I took the plunge and made it to the bottom. That's checked off the bucket list and I ripped it up and threw that one away, never to be seen again!

Only $5 for a gorgeous chairlift ride. It took about 1/2 hour total and we were greeted with amazing fall foliage views and views of the bay, as well as as much time as we wanted to wander around at the top. You could choose to hike down but we chose to ride the lift down to take in the views. Highly recommend!!

Be cautious if you are hiring a ski instructor for young children. I'm not a skier and stupidly I left my daughter to the instructors who vowed they were trustworthy; she had gained some experience through private lessons but really she was a beginner and the young, inexperienced instructors came merrily downhill with other children in the group, but left my daughter alone up on the mountain on her own and it was getting dark. It was a nightmare getting her down, I had to hire a rescue team. She'd lost a ski on the lift so it was borderline disastrous with nightfall and bad weather coming in. She ended up in hospital with a sprained and twisted knee. The chalet is old and dirty. There are a lot of teenagers hanging around smoking pot outside. Not my style.
