We had an excellent evening with live acoustic music and Maine blueberry pastry as an amazing treat. The Captain is a pleasant, witty, and well-read man, and we thank you LK for your hospitality. The full orange moon and its shimmer on the bay - we could not ask for anything more.

We sailed twice in two days on the Surprise - a morning cruise to look at marine life with Captain Will and biologist Richard, then a sunset/moonrise/music/dessert cruise with Captain Laird. We couldn't have been more pleased - or had more fun! The captain and crew were professional and informative, yet frie ndly and engaging. Richard was very knowledgeable and engaging, and the musicians with their folk songs and sea shanties were just perfect for the sunset cruise. The Surprise is a beautiful little schooner restored to mint condition and Penobscot Bay is gorgeous. Can't recommend the enough!

This perspective of a quintessential Maine scenery is not to be missed. Family friendly and knowledgeable crew. Be sure to bring sleeves with you, even in summer months.

Did a 2-hour cruise along Camden harbor down to Rockport. Did our tour with an ornithologist who pointed out the birds and wildlife we saw (which was a lot!). The crew were knowledgeable of the coast and history of the 100 year old ship and had interesting stories to share. Overall a perfect day.
