Don't miss this lovely biew

We drove up there at sunset and enjoyed the stunning views. I found the entrance fee quite pricey, but I am glad we went. Some day I would like hiking the park too.

We have done the hike up Mt Battie twice, both times early in the morning. Park just by the entrance to Camden Hills State Park. The road is steep but really not hard going up, and a breeze coming down. The rangers are friendly and knowledgeable. If you get a good day, the view from the summit is awesome...Camden Harbor... This is a great side trip when company visits- on a clear day. Drive to the top, get out, relax, enjoy the panorama of Penobscot Bay. Just take it in, take deep breaths, use binoculars, and enjoy!

We have hiked Mt. Battie as well as a couple of other mountains that make up Camden Hills State Park. Today we took a drive up to the beautiful top of Mt. Battie. The historic landmark, a stone tower, has awesome views from the top. One can climb to the top of the tower via an interior staircase. The views... More

Just a couple of miles north of Camden is Mount Batti where the State Rangers claim has “Maine’s most beautiful view.” We haven’t toured all of Maine but do agree that the views of Camden and surroundings are fantastic and should not be missed (see photo). They are also several very nice hikes you can access from the road.

We enjoyed taking the Auto strain, climbing the tower, and hawking st the changing leaves and lovely views of the bay and islands. So grateful this land is set aside for public enjoyment.

Spectacular vista of Penobscot Bay and islands. We took our pups (on leash) and all enjoyed the sights and scents.

Well worth the hike up but find the tracks rather than use the road. The views are outstanding. A small fee to enter the State Park. There are other walking routes in the park too

We drove up the mountain on a clear day and enjoyed the wide view of the coast, all the way up to Acadia National Park (I think).
