Given a difficult situation, our captain was professional, flexible, and a whole lot of fun! There was heavy fog on the morning we were to sail. He gave us the option of a full refund even though not required to do so. We decided we were comfortable with a trip around the bay in sight of land. Captain Jeff told local stories and lore as well as sang songs. He let the kids help with getting the sails up and down and teaching them what different parts of the boat were. It was a really fun experience despite not having the optimal situation. The adults and the kids all had great fun and would highly recommend this charter service!

Our captain Taylor was friendly and knowledgeable. He gave great information about all the sights on the bay. Taylor was so personable and great with our kids. He sang songs with them, told them sailing stories, taught them how to be captain and let them steer the sailboat. Plus, we shopped around and felt Sail Camden's prices were very reasonable considering what they were offering compared to the other options in Camden.
Having a private 2 hour sail just with our family and children was so worth it, especially considering our concerns with Covid and our children. We highly recommend them and we can't wait to sail with them again the next time we're in town. Thank you Taylor and Sail Camden.

This trip was spectacular! We chose Sail Camden because it was a smaller charter than some other companies in the area. We are a family of 5 and had the entire boat to ourselves! Captain Jeff took us on our tour and he was just a super cool guy. Not only did Jeff show us the beautiful sights of the area, he interacted enthusiastically with our whole family…even with the kids which was much appreciated. Jeff went above and beyond to make sure our trip was personalized and unique. This was a truly unforgettable experience and one that we would recommend to anyone visiting the area. Thank you Jeff for your hospitality and for an all around amazing afternoon!

Stop looking. You've found it! We had a fantastic time with Captain Jeff on the Heritage. He is a wonderful conversationalist and better sailor. He is incredibly kind and has curated a fantastic sailing experience for smaller groups. With Covid it was important for us to book a private experience versus a larger charter. I would choose this experience every time, it is more intimate and allows for you to be more present with the people you love! Jeff made our entire trip to Maine, we laughed and joked, smiled and had meaningful conversation. His boat is also perfect for a group of six, we sat comfortable with our blankets and little cups of wine, enjoyed the views and breeze, and learned more about sailing, the town, and Maine. It was the kind of memory making experience, I will hold dear. Great company, better winds. 10/10 book Sail Camden. We also ended up doing a lot of Jeff's recommendations for other activities in Maine! All were fantastic. (and Judy has built a great website that is easy to use, pretty, and has all the information you need! easily the most up to date site for sailing in Camden!) Thank you, Jeff! We will forever recommend you and wish you at Sail Camden all the best!

Six of us had the most enjoyable sunset cruise on the Heritage (A Friendship Sloop) out of Camden Maine. Captain Taylor was so knowledgeable about the boat, the local area and the history of the islands and the light house on Curtis Island. I highly recommend this boat for its beauty and especially for the captain who made the cruise interesting and relaxing. It was a dreamy night. Don’t hesitate to book this adventure.

If you're looking for one of the best private sailing experiences in Maine, look no further than Sail Camden. Our 6-person group felt right at home onboard the Heritage - Captain Jeff's quintessential New England sailboat. Jeff made us feel welcomed, told us fun local stories, and kept us laughing until our ribs hurt. BYO beer and wine, endless views of Camden's stunning shoreline, and a fun lighthouse photo-op all made Sail Camden one of the highlights of our entire trip to Maine. Thank you, Jeff for an incredible experience (and Judy for an awesome website!)

How much more can a sail be tailored for you? When you have a skipper named Taylor, you head off into the fog to show you’re all Mainer and nothing is cancelling the anniversary plans. The Heritage sings its lovely tune as the Detroit purrs like a kitten.. The essence of Camden Harbor heightens ones sense of wonder, and begs you to stay a little longer. Every novel you’ve read of the sea vividly comes to the forefront, and the longing for adventure is quenched. Yes, This experience will long be imprinted in my mind, and it inspires me to return to the sea much, much sooner!

We had the time of our lives on Heritage with Captain Jeff! It felt like we actually participated in the Camden regatta which was just gorgeous. And the weather was incredible with great wind that, combined with Jeff's expertise, was by far one of the more thrilling moments any of us ever experienced.

Jeff is charismatic, charming and full of knowledge that he happily shared with our supremely inquisitive 11 year old son.

We spent two weeks in Maine and this voyage was the most memorable and remarkable. It was magical! Don't hesitate to sign up with Sail Camden; it is worth every penny.

When we booked our trip the weather was questionable. The owner of Sail Camden assured us that we would make a decision the morning of our sail if the weather was not good. It ended up being a perfect afternoon to sail! Our captain was wonderful and a pleasure to spend time with. We had a great couple of hours at sea learning about the Camden area. We loved the fact that we had the boat to ourselves as a private charter. It was a more intimate experience and we'd highly recommend Sail Camden to others.

Enjoyed our morning sail with Jeff who is a real nice guy and a wealth of information/ knowledge on the area, sailing & Maine. We were lucky with the wind and got to enjoy sailing for most of our trip. Saw a huge yacht that Jeff quickly identified, sailed past the Curtis island lighthouse and were regaled by Jeff’s stories on the hermit who lived on one of the islands. Strongly recommended.
