The town looked so alive with lots of things happening, shops decorated, lots of lit decorations, the park looked like a Christmas card& the list goes on. It was fun just sauntering along speaking to people that were there for the same reasons.

Maine Street is a cute Street with many small stores in a college town. Do check them out if in town. I was there in May but I imagine very nice in the winter with snow too.

Came in from Orr's to get a dozen dogs for family (tradition no more!) and checked to see if my 21 foot vehicle was inside back parking space line. It had room to clear. Went to front window to fold in mirrors just in case...More

Our favorite street! Part of the wonder of living in Brunswick Maine is Maine Street. I think we had been living here about five years before I realize there was an E at the end of that. We love walking Main Street, exploring restaurants and...More

How can you say there is not much to do? In the winter you can dog sled, ski, snow shoe and snow mobile. In the summer you can hike, bike, canoe, kayak, swim, sail and go moose watching. We have art festivals, concerts and plays not to forget the DIVA concert, in July/August. You can take archery lessons, learn how to fly fish and we have eco - venture for the kids or you could just read a book at the town beach. After all these activities you can get a full body massage from Donna at...More

Bit of a rush this morning, didn't wake up till 9am & our transport from IL's hotel to Epcot was at 10.30am. Grabbed a quick muffin meal each from Maccy D's then straight on I trolley down to Homewood Suites. Got to Epcot & hopped on monorail to TTC then ferry over to MK. Bit of everything, why not??? Had a slow walk round to Tomorrowland stopping in a few shops on the way. Everyone got on Mikes laugh floor while I grabbed a coke & some popcorn. Heat was getting intense now so...More

Sounds like a really nice day at MK. How long did it take you to walk to the contemporary from MK and where's the path? I've never walked over before only been through contemporary on monorail. Hope you enjoy AK, my DD can't wait to go back to AK to do Safari & EE :0)

Maine Street Hotel? (1 Replies)
Does anyone have experience with the Maine Street Hotel in Bar Harbor? It seems that everyone on the Yahoo site gives it either 4 or 5 stars and unless I hear some reason NOT to stay here, I think we'll give it a try. I have nothing bad to say about the Maine Street Hotel. It is nicely located near the center of things.. No grounds to speak of. It's a basic, older motel.
