This was worth the trip! A beautiful lighthouse that you can go up inside. A bit of a tight squeeze, but worth the view. Walking on the rocks and looking up at the lighthouse is picturesque. One of my favorites!

We drove up from Portland, the drive alone was worth the trip. When we got here we went down to the cliff area and walked around, then took a trip up inside the lighthouse. The fisherman's museum is in the house next to the lighthouse,...More

We took it as a half dyas trip (or a bit less) from Boothbay Harbor. It's a park at the point of the peninsula. We've been there while the high tide came back in and saw some people down at the waterline almost getting trapped...More

Stopped to visit while going down the Maine coast. Was nice that we could actually go up in the light house. Great views of the coast. Fisherman's museum was also informative.

Very nice view from the park, you get to walk up the lighthouse too. The rock formation is very interesting to explore. Even in the middle of summer, it is not that crowded. They provide picnic tables etc. Nice place to spend a few hours...More

Since we were "tourists", I am not aware of a season. I believe the lighthouse to be open all year around. Of course, some winter storms may cause a temporary closure. Hours are "day light" hours.
