I have visited Pemaquid Point Lighthouse several times over the years, and it never ceases to amaze me with its beauty. If you go during their hours [9-4:30?] you can climb the lighthouse spiral stairs to the top. It's just beautiful! After you've climbed the lighthouse, it's time to go explore the rocks, if you're a climbing sort of person.... More

What a wonderful adventure! For a nominal fee, you can climb the circular stairs up to the very top and take some great pictures. Remember to bring your phone or camera. Then take a walk through the keepers house, which has been turned into a museum. There's a gift shop and an art gallery there too, and a short film... More

We found this little gem by luck. We saw the sign and thought we had enough time for a quick side trip. There was a small admission fee $2 per person. You can clime the lighthouse and walk around and down on some rocks. We were told you an come back at sunset even if things were closed. This was... More

Pemaquid Point is one of the best lighthouses along the Maine cost accessible by car. Lovely grounds to enjoy the magnificent views. We spent several hours just relaxing and watching the gulls and boats. There is a $2.00 per person admission fee. There is a Fisherman's Museum in the Keeper's House.

Given that I have read so much about Portland LH, and given that I have seen so many photos of Marshall Point LH, this stop was an asterisk on our days travels. It did not end the day that way, this was one of the best stops on our trip. The rocky beach and scenery are incredible at high tide.... More

We spent hours playing on the rocks with our 5 year old. This is a part of every visit to Maine! Never gets old and is beautiful in every season.

Built in the early 1800's, it is well restored. In the old lightkeeper's house, there is a nice fisherman's museum, The grounds are nicely landscaped, and a short walk on the rocks offers magnificant views of the harbor and sea birds. It offers a nice respite with shady areas, too.

In the area we are lobster and slipped up to this beautiful lighthouse and ocean view right at sunset. I attached some panoramic photos so you can try to get a feel for this beautiful "Pure Maine experience" landmark. Please look and like my photos then get by to see yourself. It's not nearly as crowded as Kennebunkport and you... More
