Wanted to see one of Maine's iconic lighthouses during our visit, and this was recommended as a favorite of the area. The lightkeeper house has been turned into a museum, and they had a person giving you the history of the lighthouse while you waited...More

Really lovely location and another special lighthouse. We saw three in one day as we travelled down from Acadia NP to Kennebunkport. Couldn't pick a favourite from this one, Marshall Point and

As a landscape photographer's wife, I am often called upon to be at a location early in the morning, but watching the sun come up over the water, with the wind blowing the waves and the lobster fishermen heading out to sea is absolutely a...More

We took the kids here for their first Atlantic lighthouse experience and we weren’t disappointed. Easy access down to the ocean for pictures. Small museum to the side of the lighthouse. Only a couple people can go up into the top at one time but...More

You definitely want to add this to your list of "must see" lighthouses. Very easy to find, and I believe it is the light house depicted on the Maine State Quarter. The ocean view is also incredible. It is very busy, so it is hard...More

Drove out from Portland to actually go inside the lighthouse but it did not open at 9:00 like the website indicated. Loved the Oceanside views and unique rock formations, but disappointed we were not able to go inside.

It’s very drivable. 30 Miles and about 50 minutes to an hour. Drive north to Demariscotta and then south on Route 130 to the lighthouse. Google maps or any GPS will show you. A pleasant drive.
