Cap'n Fish's Whale watch sailed us 15 miles out to sea and there, three Fin whales led us on a merry chase. They appeared on our clock on all points and decided to show themselves three to four times. All on board ran to larboard, starboard, stern or bow. It was the # 1 boat trip of my life. Seeing... Beautiful day, very knowledgeable captain, and very friendly staff made for a wonderful cruise. We were first-timers to Maine so the Cap 'n Combo was excellent to see the rugged coastline, coves, private islands, seals fattening up for winter, other sea birds, and of course several gorgeous lighthouses that make Maine's coastline legendary. Brought my two teenage daughters and we... More

It was a good boat, and a fun trip, but The tour guide spent 75% of his comments doing ads for businesses we passed by. They undoubtedly paid the company to do so and we were a captive audience, so that was very annoying. The trip was much better once he stopped doing that and started talking about the animals,... Had a beautiful day at sea. The boat was crowded in the beginning, with limited seats up top. Get there early. But once you set off everyone starts moving around. The staff was knowledgeable of the area and sea life. We saw porpoises and several whales. The boat was comfortable and traveled at high speed to follow the whales. It... More

I have never been on a whale watch so I did not know what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. It was a bluebird day with calm seas and we saw a huge pod of dolphins and enjoyed watching them play in the wake of the boat. We also enjoyed a pod of porpoise, lots of harbor seals (sea... More

I cannot recommened this company enough! I've taken all my family members and everyone has been thrilled. This is my 3rd Whale Watch with Cap'n Fish's. We've seen whales AND dolphins on all 3 trips over 3 different years. They never disappoint.

We were in Boothbay Harbor this last weekend. Took Cap'n Fish's Whale watch trip on Sunday afternoon. Our tour was excellent. The eagle eye'd first mate put us right in the middle of a group of feeding whales. At one point everyone on the boat was able to see a good number of whales. The Captain did a great job... More

Saw several fin whales, a few grey seals and a blue shark. Audio system was deficient so hearing the persons speaking wasn't always possible

Summer is a busy time for Boothbay Harbor, and parking is at a premium. We took two cruises on Captain Fish's Cruises this past week, and both were on the boat "Pink Lady" and the same crew. The captain (Taber), was terrific explaining all of what we were seeing on the cruises, and was very friendly and personable. He went... More
