Cap'n Fish's is the only game in town. Run by complete professionals and narrated by an informative, knowledgeable captain. When in the Boothbay area this activity should absolutely be on your 'to do' list.

Took this excellent and safe tour to see puffins, and we saw many, plus other northern seabirds and seals. The puffins move really fast, but it was exciting to glimpse them in abundant numbers. This location is one where they have been encouraged to breed....More

Excellent trip. Felt really safe. Brilliant commentary from the captain. Great value for money. We saw seals and had a demo of how the lobsters are fished. Really enjoyed the day. I was dreading it as I tend to get sea sick but no problem...More

Wonderful to be out in the open waters, to see where much of the movie Carousel was filmed, the little islands, Burnt Island Lighthouse, and the seals. The commentary was comprehensive and informative. The lobster trap demo was interesting, as was the information on lobster...More

Our Captain gave us a comprehensive commentary on seals and lobstering (it wasn’t one of the whale watching cruises). A crew member pulled up a lobster trap for us to witness. A very enjoyable 1hr and 15 min cruise. We saw the Burnt Island Lighthouse.

Since it was the off-season, not many options for getting on the water. But this worked well for a short harbor tour to see the area from the sea. The captain/guide gave interesting info about what we were seeing. Perhaps a bit more history would...More

Great activity for Boothbay Harbor perspective. Seeing the seascape side (lighthouses, private houses, islands) was a delight. Excellent photo ops. Enclosed downstairs area and open top gave family choices. Narration and lobster trap demo all informative. Nice alternative to the shops and roads,

We went on the last whale watching trip of the season. It was frigid and there wasn't any really good place on the boat to be out of the cold. Their interior cabin had open doors and let a lot of air in. They did...More

I'm not sure about the tours but our whale watching lasted about 30 minutes longer than they said because we were watching 3 whales and they where nice enough to gove us extra time.

The little bit o Maine tour is about a 2 hour boat ride. Then the drive from BBH to Bristol, if taking the River Road (instead of RT 1) takes 35 minutes. You should be ok picking up your husband at 4:30pm

YES! It can get chilly and windy out there, but you can be comfortable dressing for the land climate and carrying a sweater or jacket ready to put on if and when the temperature lowers. Happy trip!
