We had read about this trip and fantastic reviews. Not sure what to expect we arrived as requested and there was a large boat packed with people. I must admit my heart sank...... it should not have. It was a beautiful boat trip out and...More
Our family of four did a Monday afternoon trip. We were told to arrive at 11:45 am for the 12:30 trip. Parking is available at Pier 6 where the boat docks, but it is $20. We parked for $5 up the at the fire station...More
What a cool experience during our stay in Maine. Enjoyable boat ride out to the island, incredibly friendly staff who took the time to talk to all of us during this excursion and truly make you feel welcome and the best clam bake we've had!...More
My 3 friends and I finally booked this trip after many years if visiting Maine together. My only regret is that we didn't do it sooner. Everyone was very friendly and the food was amazing! The Moore brothers, Bob and Wayne, are so funny, and...More
Well worth the money. Great food and family hosting on Cabbage Island. It’s takes about an hour to get there but you learn about Boothbay on your way. Book early because it took us two tries to get tickets. I’ll go back next summer.

We had an awesome time on our Cabbage Island Clambake. The narrated boat tour of Boothbay Harbor was informative and interesting. Once on Cabbage Island we were impressed with the outstanding customer service and the food was incredible! We could barely walk after the meal....More
I can’t recommend this tour enough! Wonderful from start to finish!

So planning a trip out to Boothbay Harbor Memorial Day weekend. Any suggestions on things to do on the coast? We would love to do the Cabbage Island Clambakes, but I'm afraid its not open yet. Anything similar? Does anyone know if the Lobster places will be open yet? Any advice or suggestions would be helpful!

Looking on the sites for various lobster pounds/restaurants in Boothbay Harbor, they are opening Memorial Day weekend. It also looks like Cap'n Fish's boat tours will also be starting up that weekend.

Hi, I went on this 2 years ago with my best friend and my son (who was 8). It was a great experience, and we enjoyed it. BUT, it is definitely geared toward adults, and attracts adults and the grey haired set! My son was able to order a hot dog instead of lobster. The ferry ride is 45 minutes each way, and the trip is 4 hours. It is usually packed with people, I think 150-200 each trip, and the meal is served by ringing a bell, then everyone lines up and carries their tray back to a picnic...More
