Nice boat ride on a large boat that's covered and has bathrooms and a bar. 45 min ride to the island with the captain narrating some local history. Once at the island you are free to explore this beautiful place. The staff made us feels like family and it feels like a family owned business. At the island there are... More

Loved this. It's a must do in Boothbay. Owner operated, charming. Went last night, Saturday, for their late afternoon evening cruise. Got a tour of the harbor before heading out to Cabbage Island. Service was terrific, the island is charming, the food was more than I could or should have eaten. This is a real home style clam bake, set... More

This is your chance to partake of a New England clam bake. The boat (Bennie Alice) leaves the harbor around noon and travels around the point to Cabbage Island in Linekin Bay. It’s not far. During the course of the trip the captain provides information about history of the area, the lighthouse and other sights. The lobster dinner was more... More

We decided to take our friends visiting from Northern Alberta Canada on a day excursion..and we couldnt have made a better choice than the Cabbage Island Clambake! Left Boothbay Harbor on the Bennie-Alice...the day was perfect..a bit of a cool breeze in the harbor so take a light jacket or sweater. The Captain pointed out points of interest and some history... Three generations enjoyed a wonderful experience on tge 1 hour sightseeing tour followed by a great clambake at Cabbage Island. There is more than enough food for each person-fish cowder,2 lobsters, corn, potato, onion, egg, steam clams and ending with a superb blueberry cake. There is an alternate chicken meal or even a hot dog for children. There is also... More

The food was very good but the tour was horrible. We had to cut the tour short because of the fog which wasn't a big deal. The tour guide barley told us any information about anything that we saw. It just wasn't a good tour at all.

We had such a great time with Cabbage Island Clambakes today! Every single employee we encountered was so friendly and attentive- that does not happen by accident, it happens because the owners CARE. Frankly a boat ride out to a nice island with a big twin lobster lunch would probably be enough for people to have a pretty good day.... More

The boat ride out was interesting and informative. Be sure to bring a jacket no matter how warm you may feel before getting on the boat! The meal was great. We were worried about it being way too much food, but the lobsters are the soft shell variety so have less meat than you would expect. Still plenty, just not... More

After having a whale watch cancelled due to rough ocean seas, we lucked into the 4 hour Cabbage Island (LOBSTER) Bake. 124 people boarded the Bennie Alice for a one hour trip in the harbor and around a very picturesque lighthouse before landing at Cabbage Island. The family run tour, which has the 94 year old matriarch greeting guests at... More
