This is not a big aquirium, but still worth a visit, thought it was expensive for what you got. Feeding time was the best with the seals

Thanks for your review. You may have us confused with another aquarium, as we do not have seals. We have dogfish sharks.

Nice little aquarium for the kids and grown ups if you are interested in learning about the regional life in the ocean. You get to handle and pet some of the species which the kids really enjoy.

We take grands to aquarium each time we go to BBH. Always a fun place to go and learn about the many sea animals around Maine. Would highly recommend to others.

The Maine State Aqarium is not an "aquarium" as we know it, but this Midwest city girl enjoyed it immensely. I held a starfish and touched lobsters and different crabs. The docents explained how these sea animals lived and survived. I never realized how many...More

This is a VERY tiny aquarium. It is one room and you probably couldn't fit more than a few dozen people in there. The touch tanks are cool, and I found it decently entertaining for my two young children. But even my 3 year old...More

Just not what we expected. It was very small & definitely for smaller kids. They do have an outside area on their pier that shows different ways they catch different species of sea life & the fishing exhibit was pretty cool. But it is pretty...More
