Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is a natural wonder on 270 acres of shorefront in mid-coast Maine. Strolling through spectacular ornamental gardens and traversing miles of waterfront and woodland trails, visitors are delighted by the beautiful plantings, impressive stonework, waterfalls and fountains, and scenic views. It's no wonder the Gardens have been hailed as one of Maine's top three attractions. The Gardens are open 9-5 April 15 - October 31 (open until 6 pm in July and August). There is a cafe and gift shop on site. A visit at any time is a memorable experience.

This gem is well worth the visit if you enjoy gardening, love beautiful landscapes or want to spend some time with your young children. The children's garden is fabulous, with activities along with the plants and flowers for kids to engage with. Friday's during negotiations the summer are "Fairy Fridays" with special fairy activities including bubble machine and arts/crafts and... More

If you are in the Boothbay area and miss this gem you must go the next time you are here. My expectations for a botanical garden in Boothbay were not high having been to many gardens around the world; I was mistaken; it was remarkable including the layout, scultures, mediative areas to sit and ponder and see the beauty of... The Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens are not to be missed. The flowers and plants are beautiful and the grounds are nicely laid out and maintained. There are plenty of different trails around the grounds and in the woods and alongside the water to make for a great day trip.

Not generally known for gardens, this one in coastal Maine is simply astounding. Wear your walking shoes, but know there are free cart rides if you need 'em. So much more than gardens. A sensory and poetic experience located on exquisite coastal property which was saved from development by a bunch of courageous locals willing to risk their own homes... More

Great botanical garden. In August it was full beautiful flowers. Great place to spend a few hours strolling. For more serious gardeners, it is a delight. Because it is a relatively new botanical garden it has many of the newest hybrids and they are spectacular. My sister and I are gardeners and have visited many gardens both private and public... This was our 3rd visit to this beautiful garden. It is located by the back river heading to Barters island. Many nice and quiet paths. Flowers and garden are beautiful. Especially the children section. Very interesting souvenirs boutique. And an excellent restaurant inside or on the patio. Really worth visiting.

What a surprise ! Drive up a long gravel woodland road wondering-- " What's all the hoopla about ? Nothing but pine trees and ferns" Park the car and walk 100 ft. Whoooh Nelly! Have we entered the Garden of Eden ? Flowers, beautiful shrubbery, water gardens. On and on and on. I love photography and gotta tell you, I... More

What a wonderful way to spend a morning: 270 acres of mostly forest, but including many lovingly planted and maintained gardens. My wife and I especially liked the Giles Rhododendron Garden, which has a waterfall, the Perennial & Rose Garden, and the Children's Garden, which was a riot of colors and smells that would make any adult want to stay.... We arrived shortly after opening which allowed us plenty of time and space to enjoy this amazing place, so many different spaces and species of plants. Our son loved the children's garden and we all loved the garden of the 5 senses. We had a delicious lunch at the cafe and a long ramble through the forest paths- a wonderful... More

Lunch is wonderful, healthy food with a delightful atmosphere inside and out. Occasional guest attractions for young and old. An outstanding, relaxing experience for young and old.
