What an absolute RUSH!! We brought our crew of daycare teachers for a staff retreat. Only one of us had been rafting before. We all had a blast!! It's the ultimate adrenaline rush and the perfect teambuilding experience for professionals. Our trip was on a turbine test day, with a flow rate of 8600 cubic feet per second!! Our guide, Jim Murton was awesome, experienced, professional and knowledgeable. When the river was calm, we were getting a full blown historical and ecological tour, and when the rapids heated up, Jim commanded the raft through it with 40 years of experience behind him. I can see this being an annual trip for us, for sure. Thanks Jim and North Country Rivers!!

The Guide Staff is awesome; every guide is professional, safety conscious and very entertaining as the trip down the river progresses. I have been rafting with North Country Rivers for almost 20 years bringing my family, church groups and always 1 or 2 trips a year with customers. It's a great way to spend quality time with others! The campground is flat with plenty of open space and the cabins are excellent and always clean. Patrick's Pub is a special treat because everyone who works at the Pub is a guide! I recommend you go up the night before and you'll have an opportunity to learn about your upcoming rafting trip. Thank you North Country for always delivering a great experience!!!

First, let's start with our campsite, RV 001. The site is all grass, level, full sun, water and electric. If you are looking at the site, there is nothing but open field to the right and behind, until you reach the cabins a good distance away. There is plenty of room to spread out. This was an RV site without shade. There are primitive shaded tent sites available. Next is the bath/shower house. These are available behind the main lodge approximately 100 yards away. The shower stalls are tiny with an old small wooden shelf. Once in these tiny stalls you must pay to get the water to come on. You read correct, pay. Both my husband and I paid .50 cents for the water to come on, only to discover no hot water at all. When you pay for an expensive package deal: camping, ATV rental and moose safari, you would think taking a shower would be included. I was so angry I spoke with someone in the lodge. He was polite and refunded my $2.00, then told me to wait 10 - 15 minutes then the water "should be" hot. The only thing "hot" was my husband and I. After an all day ATV rental all we both wanted was a hot shower. Sadly, all we got was a cold one. Finally, we had our moose safari with our tour guide, Chris. What a wonderful experience. We had the opportunity to see 3 moose. It was great. You are able to get out of the van to take pictures. Chris did give safety instructions on how to read the body language from the moose, and watched us closely. The moose we did see were at a distance from the van. Thank you again, Chris, for being a great moose guide. Overall, North Country Rivers, gave us what we paid for, except for hot showers.

I can not express how much fun my son and I had the whole weekend. We camped at the beautiful clean campground. The food at the Restaurant was delicious. Whitewater rafting was amazing. Very organized. All of the employees and our rafting guide were very friendly. I never felt unsafe on the river. We will be staying and rafting with North Country Rivers every year. I highly recommend them.
