Trainquill view of history.

Easy to get to from bethel. Nice spot to picknick and relax. The bridge is well kept and the stream below appears well stocked with trout.

We love visiting covered bridges in Vermont and Pennsylvania, Sunday River Covered Bridge is a nice addition to our list. Pay particular attention to the peg and beam construction as well as the four iron rods that run from the base to granite blocks and the two long iron rods on the up stream side that attach to granite rocks... It's still in pretty good shape. The original build didn't have any screws or nails in it at all, it was all done with wood! Of course, there is metal in there now to touch it up since it's such an old bridge. When we went a couple was getting married right there. Worth taking 5 minutes to go see... More

I love the fact that the bridge is still standing. It has been preserved at this state. No longer being driven over but the nature around is just so pristine.

We held our wedding on the bridge and all the pictures look amazing! We were worried when we first arrived at the bridge because the inside is just covered with graffiti but you didn't really notice any of it in the pictures. The bridge itself is so beautiful (save that graffiti) that we opted to not have any decorations added... More

If you are in the area it is a great photo-op for visitors. When we were there someone was taking wedding album pics with the bride and brides maids. It is truly a beautiful for scenic pictures.

Kids loved the river below the bridge and played a long time. They were amazed with the wooden peg construction and the fact that it was covered.

Picturesque bridge although weathered after almost 150 years. west end shows erection date. You can walk across it and look out over the Sunday River. Only unfortunate thing is that people have spray-painted things on the inside of the bridge.

Quiet get-away spot. Walk down to the creek and enjoy the sounds of the water rolling by. People before us had stacked several rocks up into unique statues.
