We have been going to Sunday River for a few years now and have always enjoyed our visit. The big draw for us is the annual Wife Carrying Contest and the festivities that are all held at the mountain. Not to worry - parking is plentiful and free! Although this is the big event, there is a lot more going... More

Sunday River has always been a favorite place to ski. They even had good terrain this weekend despite little snowfall. What was so disappointing was the number of people smoking pot on the chair lifts. Having children sitting behind them and breathing it in was very upsetting. This happened on 3 of 5 lift rides. This has never been a... More

We stayed 3 days at the Grand Summit. Studio accommodations had everything one needed. With the full kitchen we were able to have breakfast in our room and make lunch to take hiking with us. Hotel has a nice pool and hot tub area, and the fitness center is outstanding. While the hotel restaurant looks nice, we opted to travel... More

We like Sunday River for the varied ski terrain good for families and friends. The lift capacity is good and the snow making is of high quality. Well worth the trip!

My friend from other country and I stopped in hoping to purchase a specific item from the gift shop. If was off season so they were closed but the staff was so helpful, they found a shop manager and let my friend in and assisted him with his purchase. Made his day and we were so grateful such great folks... More

Took the day to attend the Octoberfest at Sunday River Ski Resort. Lots of fun with bands and the famous wife carrying contest which is always fun to watch.

Great ski area. My absolute favorite ski destination hands down! Spring skiing is the best as is the skiing throughout the year. Geat restaurants too.

My husband and I did two hiking trails in September while at Sunday River- Lalapalooza and Summit Traverse and had very different experiences on each. We started with lalapalooza early in our trip, we knew that it was marked difficult but since it was also listed as only 1.2 miles we were not concerned as we do quite a bit... More

Visited this past weekend hoping to see some fall leaves. No fall colors but beautiful views. Of mountains near and far great picture taken on with the family! Plenty of activities from young to old!

2 tee bars and a rope tow....that was Sunday River in the late 50's. I recall sitting in the Barker lodge listening to an "old timer" lamenting...."I've been skiing here for 20 years now and I'm getting sick and tired of....blah, blah blah". I turned to him and said "I've been skiing here for 50 years and I think this... More
