Awarded Yankee Magazine's "Best Island Tour," we are the Bar Harbor area's favorite boat cruise and a family owned business now in our 22nd year. Operating out of Bass Harbor to the islands of Blue Hill Bay, we offer exclusive access to what many consider one of the most beautiful parts of the Maine coast, as well as its prettiest harbor. Being off the beaten path, our formula for success is offering the highest quality experience at some of the lowest rates on Mount Desert Island. Try out our 11:00-2:30 Lunch Cruise to Frenchboro; established in 1820 and one of the last year round island fishing communities in Maine, Frenchboro is a place that many people find hard to believe still exists in our busy, high-tech world. Or, join us for the 3:00-5:00 Nature Cruise, where you'll see seals, bald eagles, and even haul a lobster trap or two. We cherish your business and our many return customers, and you'll find that it shows from start to finish.

Island Cruises is easy to find (if you follow your GPS) and there is plenty of room to park (unlike boat trips that leave from Bar Harbo). We selected the Morning Lunch Cruise and were not disappointed. Captain Eli is a great host providing a...More

We took this boat trip so that we could get out on the water after many days of hiking in Acadia. The captain knows the history, industry, economics, and wildlife of the area extremely well, and shares it in an engaging, captivating, story-telling narrative. The...More

This was the second boat trip we made on our week stay on Mount Desert Island, and was by far the better of the two, whereas the first one we made on a Schooner in Bar Harbor was just basically a sail round the bay...More

Hands down the best boat tour in Mt Desert. I went on Aug 7, and we saw porpoises, seals, a bald eagle, and many other animals. Frenchboro is a quaint island with lots of history and had a good lunch. The Captain is extremely nice...More
