We really enjoyed our cruise with Island Cruises. It was very informative about life in the area, lobstering, wildlife. It was neat to see the fish farm and to pull up a lobster trap. We even saw a baby porpoise swimming with its mama! FYI,...More

Captain Sarge took us out on a beautiful evening sail, out towards the Gott Islands and Swans Island. Very scenic and informative; we learned a lot about the lobster industry (we asked!) as well as what it's like to live year round in the area....More

Very informative cruise. We saw lobsters, even pulled our own trap up! The crew was awesome, stayed and had lunch at a little village on the coast. Saw so many seals and eagles we couldn't count them all. My mother and family loved it--highlight of...More

Our boat ride was our favorite. The captain provided so much information about the area which was wonderful for my visiting granddaughter from California. We would definitely choose this activity next year when she visits Maine.

Don’t think twice just book it. We saw mature and juvenile eagles, harbor and grey seals, porpoise, salmon pens, lobster and crabs and learned so much about coastal Maine. This will be the best money you spend on your trip by far.

Captain Eli is a Captain's Captain, with complete control of his vessel throughout the entire cruise. He's personable and friendly and I get the impression he could give this tour in his sleep, it's just that well honed. Thorough, educational, entertaining and enlightening, Captain Eli...More

We wanted a private boat tour that would give us a look at the Mount Desert Island area from the water. This company did not disappoint. Captain Eli runs a professional, clean business . We went out at 5 pm for a sunset tour. We...More

I'm so glad we took an afternoon nature cruise with Island Cruises. The weather was kinda cold and overcast off and on, but it just didn't matter. There's nothing else like getting out on the water and seeing some of the islands and the wildlife....More
