This bridge, built to allow for tides to go through and connect Orr's and Bailey Islands, was rebuilt a few years ago to the original specs. Don't miss it!

We were staying at a rental home that required us to go over this bridge every day. I wouldn't drive far to see it, but if you are close by, it truly is an engineering marvel. You can also walk across it.

This is a fabulous wooden structure. It is narrow, so beware of you have a camper, trailer of large pickup. There is a separate pedestrian / bike path, and that's the way to go. There are good views from Cooks and Morse's.

The Cribstone Bridge is one-of-a-kind & it allows the strong tides in the coast of Maine to move through the bridge. A truly unique bridge with beautiful views of the surrounding waterlife.

This is the only Cribwork bridge left in the world is what we were told. Amazing that a bridge its size is held together without any mortar.

The bridge is a piece of history and being able to drive over and walk across the only know cribstone bridge in the world was very cool. The bridge has a sidewalk which allows you to safely walk or cycle across. A great example of Maine ingenuity.

Beautiful Bridge! Only one in the WHOLE world! Beautiful views! A must see if you visit. You cannot miss it. The only way to get onto Bailey Island. Except by boat of course.

We've been going across this bridge for years and it always amazes me how well-built it is. It's an incredible feat of workmanship.

The way this bridge is built, makes it the only one of it's type in the world. It is narrow and some people may not like driving over it. It's the only way to get to the island unless you go by boat. Great views from the bridge of the harbor and ocean.

This bridge is truly a one of a kind and is a must see. Take a trip back in time and get that peaceful small town feeling. Go visit the Salt Cod café and have some coffee and blueberry pie. Then take a walk over the Cribstone bridge and see the lobster boats, the sail boats, smell the water and... More
