Well worth the trip and money!!!!! My husband and I had the best time. Our captain had a great story to tell and weaved it seamlessly through the tour. It included bits of history, bits of storm history, family ties and nature tales. Tours go out three times daily, it is so close to the city you will be amazed.... More

The skipper was incredible and very knowledgable. The boat was comfortable and had a covering and we were totally protected by the sun. I totally recommend this excursion!

The captain was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The tour seemed to go by very fast. The covering over the boat really helped to shield the sun and keep it cool and breezy on the boat. The captain did his best to try to find where all the critters were. We did see lots of gators, although we didn't get to... More

Capt. James was great but it rained so we paid lots and saw little. I would recommend doing this if you have good weather and transportation. They sent a taxi to get us and we had to pay $20 per person to get there...

The folks that run this adventure are very knowledgable about the swamp. We booked this tour with them as an add-on to our plantation tour. We were herded on to a boat, with lots of others and we were off. We only saw a few baby gators, which they fed marshmallows to. Wild life was in short order, the boat... More

What an entertaining afternoon on the Cajun Swamp Tour. We had Captain Allen, who was so Cajun it was frightening. He had a great turn of phrase and kept us entertained while we cruised the swamp. There were stacks of alligators even at the area where we boarded the boat. We soon saw lots of wildlife including birds, different types... More

Captain James was super knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Although we had only five passengers on our trip he was enthusiastic about stopping and pointing out the different animals and fauna we encountered. I would have NEVER guess that gators like marshmellows!

The swamp tour was one of the fun parts of our vacation. You get to relax and take in the nature while learning things you probably didn't know.

We saw three alligators sunning themselves on logs. They only come up to the boat in April and May--months not too hot or cold. Did see feral pigs--great swimmers. Guide was a local and a hunter and was full of facts about the plants, birds, crawfish and environmental changes. Great trip for nature lovers but not thrill seekers expecting close... More
