An amazing charter with Captain John Falterman
Sep 2016 • Family
Captain John is an outstanding fishing guide. Super helpful on the boat. Loves teaching my son and I how to fish for redfish. He is an absolute wizard with the sonar and electronics. We caught a bunch of redfish over Labor Day and learned alot as well. Can't wait to go back to New Orleans and fish some more with Capt. John

Great Family Fishing Trip
Jul 2016 • Family
My husband, our two sons & 2 of 4 grandsons went fishing with Captain John. They had a wonderful time & came home with enough fish to fill the freezer. We even had a family fish fry that evening. Can't think of a more appropriate name for this business. Therapy Charters. Located on the Northshore in Slidell but this guy goes where the fish is. I follow his FB page & he takes care of his clients.

Our office chartered two boats with Capt. John on Friday May 13th and had a SPECKtacular time. There was eleven of us between the two boats and everyone caught fish.

Capt. John couldn't have been a nicer guy!!

Thanks for the memories John

Amazing Fishing Fun
Oct 2015 • Couples
Fantastic fishing trip! We caught Red Drum, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Flounder, and Speckled Trout. Captain John knows how to assess his audience and be sure he helps everyone at their level. Spotless equipment that is professionally outfitted. He was certain to tailor each day to meet our objectives! We had two days of very windy weather but we still managed to get a huge cooler of fish to bring home! Would Defintley recommend!!'

Captain John makes you feel comfortable and excited to reel in the big ones.

Captain John showed us great hospitality and made sure we got a lot of nice bites. His boat was beautiful and is equipped with very recent technology and fishing gear. He kept his vessel tidy at all times, which can be hard to do on a boat. Both me and my dad really benefited from his fishing tip refresher course during the trip. Everyone thinks they have the best techniques or that they know it all and no one likes to be corrected, but Captain John was able to offer us tips without offending us. Listen to the man, he's obviously had his ear to the ground for some time now. Most importantly, at the end of the trip I felt like I could book another trip and bring any kind of person aboard and have another great time. Long live Therapy Charters. Trip date: June 28, 2015

Best Captain in LA
Apr 2015 • Family
My wife, two kids and I traveled to LA from Calif. for a few days on the bayou and a few days in New Orleans at the French Quarter Festival. I hired Captain John because I heard he was good with families and kids. I have two children, 12 & 9. We had a great day of fishing. Really, just a morning. We were the first clients on John's new boat. Really roomy and fast. The five of us, including John, easily fished with no hang-ups and bumping elbows. This boat could easily fish 4-6 adults.
John took us out on lake pontchartrain near the railroad bridge. We started fishing live shrimp around 7am. By 10am we had close to 40 trout, 3 drum, 1 redfish, 1 catfish and a flounder. We probably missed another 40 fishing. By 10am, we were ready to head back in. John cleaned and packed the fish. It was a wonderful charter experience. If you are in town for fishing or just in New Orleans for a few days, please take the opportunity to enjoy the great fishing in the area and trust John to put to on the fish. He is a great Captain, especially in ensuring that my kids had a great time.

May Fishing Trip
May 2014
We had a great time fishing Lake Pontchartrain with Captain John. He was very knowledgeable and guided us in catching a wide variety of fish. We limited out on black drum and also caught a lot of speckled trout. Besides helping us catch fish, Captain John explained what he was doing and why so we could learn more about fishing. We had had a lot of fun and recommend his service.

Therapy Charters Red Fish Trip
May 2014 • Couples
We booked a charter with Capt John Falterman, Jr for May 1, 2014. We arrived at 6:00 AM to fish and the weather was very very windy. Capt John was very safety conscious and suggested that it was to dangerous to go out fishing. He moved us to Friday May 2 and we started out on our adventure. We had a marvelous time and Capt John was an excellent guide. He baited all our hooks and removed all the fish we caught. We caught 9 Red Fish, 1 Flounder and 1 trout. It was exactly what we had hoped for. I think we had about 35 Lbs of fish filets to take back to North Carolina. My husband is a very experienced fisherman and he was very please with this fishing event and Capt Johns knowledge and attention paid to us. We would suggest this trip for couples, families, friends or solo. The fee was very good for a full day of fishing!
