I have lived in Louisiana for over 30 years and love this store. I have bought things for my home as well as gifts. From original paintings to hand towels to pralines. You can find many locally made items there. They have a great web site too. I bring visitors there all the time and they find many treasures too.

Bayou Country has great gifts for visitors and locals alike. From pelican statues to tee shirts and fresh made pralines, this little store has something unique for everyone. I often buy gifts from home to give my son's family in Tampa, since he moved away after graduating from LSU. He loves the cute items for Saints fans and Tiger fans.... More

You will enter a little world full of all kinds of local goodies from candies and t-shirts to art and towels. It's a new place but built to resemble an old country store. It is very enjoyable to wander through and pick up a few things to take back home to friends and to that person that has been watching... More

I live only a mile away but check it out regularly. Almost all is New Orleans based but very different. Great T-shirts. I have purchased many items from them. They used to have a really good restaurant but not so much anymore.

If you need one of the above or a bathroom break stop. I wanted a t-shirt, but didn't really see one I liked. I did get some Zapps chips. They have most of the regional goodies including a big selection of sauces. We were really hoping for a bite to eat, but the cafe was closed.

I live in the area where the general store is located. Have stopped in several times. As a local, this is a great place to pick up specialty Louisiana items when leaving town to visit relatives & out of state friends. Tourist...this is a great place to stop when visiting the greater New Orleans area. You can purchase unique Louisiana... More

Have bought several Christmas presents here, unique items. Mostly Louisiana themed items, but other gifts also. Bought myself the cute crawfish card holder. Also had lunch in the cafe. Small menu but food was very good

If you're driving along I-10 and get a hankering for pralines, don't past this store! Not only do they have fresh pralines, roasted pecans (see my pic) and other yummy treats, they also have unique hot sauces, pickled items, and a vast assortment of unique gifts for the home. You can watch some of the employees package the fresh goodies... More

I've gone here many times because it's a very nice store to visit. They have all kinds of snacks and knick-knacks and New Orleans related gifts. My favorite thing to get there is this mix of seasonings that you can mix with sour cream to make Mardi Gras dip. It's one of the most delicious dips... In the back of... More

This place is amazing and has something for everyone, whether you just want to look, or are ready to lay down several hundred dollars on stunning artwork. You can find Cajun food, spices, cookbooks, art, kitchen supplies, decor and anything else you can think of. And while you're there, you can get some Cajun cooking too. A must see.
