Capt Jack was our fearless leader and terrific host and it was such a great experience. No one could be more experienced and love this ecosystem more. Learn and have fun! A must to-do when in New Orleans.
We really enjoyed our tour with Captain Hunter! He was funny, extremely knowledgeable and personable. We knew a swamp tour on a cold rainy day in late December would be hit or miss with gators and wildlife so we didn’t expect much...but the surprise critters...More
We just moved here and had family visit for Christmas. We decided last minute to do a Swamp Tour that was recommended by a local in our neighborhood. The price is affordable and our Captain (Hunter ) has the greatest knowledge about the swamp. He...More
The tour itself was really great. We didn’t see any alligators but we saw other things. We were lucky enough to get to tour with Captain Hunter and he is a really great guy. Very patient and funny with the kids. If I was JUST...More

Has anyone taken the Pick up option from New Orleans, it is a 40 minute trip by car there. The price is $49, pick up included. Do they also bring you back to New Orleans ? Or is it easier and cheaper to get a bus/tram to Slidell, the point of the boat deparure ? Ther are 4 of us, all adults.

Hi we'll be there that weekend as well. Was told about the chris Owens parade on sunday which sounds like fun. I like your plan of keeping the plans to a minimum. We have been to nola many times and find that we often don't keep with the itinerary. Great reason to keep on coming back. Try to visit the st. Louis cemetery a short walk from the quarter. Stop at the tropical isle bayou club for some zydeco. One of my favorite stops on bourbon. We stay on st. Peter where the cats meow is located...More
