Finding Peace would be the title of my book if I could compare writing a novel to staying at Anne Butler's lovely home. Traveling 75% of my life for my career has made me quite accustomed to a Hilton lifestyle but that is not what we wanted after our wedding in Baton Rouge. I am from Louisiana (now living in... More

I stayed in the Treehouse which had a balcony. How beautiful to have coffee outside with the birds and smelling the aromas of all the flowers. There was also a flight of stairs leading to a ravine to listen to night wildlife. The room was extremely clean and spacious. Fun to hear bullfrogs at night.

I drove back to see the home as it sits back from the main highway. Pretty home but they do not do tours at all. It is a B&B and as a guest you can see the home.

One of the less memorable Plantations in St.Francisville.If you have spare time, drop by and there will be someone to show you around. It has a charm about the house and its colorful occupants.

My husband and I with our two teenage daughters stayed in the Pond House. This was a great place to spend a few days and relax. We usually stay in hotels when we travel so this was a new experience for us. I do know when we visit Saint Francisville again we will stay at Butler Greenwood. It was a... More

On our recent trip to Louisiana exploring the Historic Plantation Houses of the Deep South my partner and myself were lucky to find this lovely place, with its magical collection of unique, quirky and exotic cabins surrounding a picturesque lake. It was a great experience to stay in Chase Cottage and sit on the porch in the morning and evening... More

We stayed in St. Francisville while attending the reenactment at Port Hudson. We stayed here because they accepted us with our chiweenie. The innkeeper was nice and talked with us about the plantation. Each room is basically a small cabin on the grounds. They are all well appointed with kitchenettes. It is quiet there, we sat on the back porch... More

This was the first trip for my wife and I to this plantation although we have been wanting to go for quite a while due to it being HIGHLY recommend to us by our good friends that have been going 3-4 times per year for the last few years. As soon as we arrived, I knew that we will be... More

This is the place to go to get away and relax. If I remember correctly there has been 9 generations of the Butler family that has lived on this property. The current owner Anne Butler is a wonderful, thoughtful, kind southern lady. I'm truly glad that I have met her and I was able to spend a bit of time... More
