Was in town with a friend who had been here before and needed to purchase some more of their rice products. The store has something to offer for everyone. Lots of rice products and various cajun cooking staples. The two ladies who were working there...More

We did not tour the rice mill, but the cashier told us a little of the history. Excellent selection of Cajun/Creole speciality foods, although a little on the pricey side.

Jean our guide provided some nice comments in the store, then was the main focus on the rice mill. The mill model was wonderful to help explain the milling process. Thanks. Worth a stop.

What a kick to see a business being done the old fashion way...all manually done...no computerization at all. Didn't know Louisiana was the third largest producer of rice in the country. The tour was done by one of the employees....there are a total of 13...More

I was looking forward to visiting here and getting some background on rice production. This is a place that time has passed by. I'm sure in it's heyday it thrived, was neat and clean and interesting... but I was disappointed. An old 70's era movie,...More

We enjoyed the movie that introduced the Acadians, the shop, and the informative docent as she explained the workings of a rice mill...interesting that if a part breaks, they have to make a new one or they might lose thier Historical status

My grandson asked me sometime ago about Rice and how it was produced. I took him to visit Konriko Rice Mill in New Iberia and he came away from there with a better understanding of rice growing and production. Great experience for my grandson !

We enjoyed the tour of the mill. The guide knew the history and could answer our questions. The movie was also very good. The store had a lot of fun and interesting items for own use and gifts.

Went with a tour group. When you first walk in the building smells musty. There is rice for sale along with many things made from their rice. There are also lots of trinkets and knick knacks for sale. They have free samples of local coffee...More

Stop by and take the tour of the oldest operating rice mill in the United States. Then, stop in this store for free samples and some specialty products you won't find in the supermarket.
