The Fort is near historic downtown and an nice way to spend the afternoon. We paid $4 each for 2 adult tickets. The entrance building has many exhibits and the staff was very helpful - along with clean restrooms, always a plus! The grounds is well-maintained and outside the summer months, it was an enjoyable walk. The Fort reconstruction was... More

Gates were closed on a Tuesday afternoon around 1:30 pm; not very inviting. We had been hoping to finally see the fort, but not this time.

Walked here from our B & B through the old cemetery. The fee is very nominal and the lady there was very informative. You see the exhibits ans a film first and then walk to the fort via the woods. We met another staff member dressed in costume who was chopping wood and he was a fountain of all knowledge... More

We viewed the place & then went outside to see the grounds. Very nice walking trail to see the Fort & the gentleman... More

Our visiting guest had a 6 year old daughter. I was hoping she wouldn't find the excursion boring. She didn't! We had a wonderful time, and the staff is wonderful. They answer questions and explain things so interestingly. I'm going to take all my guest there from now on! A must see, even for those that aren't interested in history!

Read all the positive reviews and drove down to visit only to find an extremely limited parking lot. We were pulling a trailer, so there was no way we could get in and out. If we are in the area without the trailer we will try again.

This place is a must-see. It's interactive, innteresting, and unique. The staff is hands on and knowledgeable, plus, they really like their job, so they work to get you involved. It's a great way to learn about Natchitoches before you explore the city. Adult and kids will enjoy it. I've been there over 7 times with student groups and family.... More
