Our tour guide randy was awesome. You go out into the marsh via airboat. He explains the ecosystem as well as how alligators are raised there. He grabbed a 3 foot alligator out of the water and let everyone on the boat hold it safely. We saw two other alligators as well. A great ride through a very isolated spot in the bayou.

Even though January is not the ideal time to go look in the bayou for alligators, our captain - Miles - made every effort and put us on a few gators! He was very knowledgeable for our party of six, and eager to answer any questions people had. He not only knew about the Bayou and wildlife, he was passionate about this area, as it has been in his family for eight generations. Check-in was easy, transportation from downtown was a breeze. I believe another reviewer mentioned that you kind of go through some quite rural communities on your way, but this is a working river/waterway, so you will see that. No time at all, though, and you are out in the bayou with nothing in sight, except an abundance of wildlife, including eagles, Osprey, gators, and other birds.

Had an awesome afternoon with Captain Kelly. Was beyond impressed with his knowledge of this amazing region. We did the small boat tour, which I highly recommend with a 10 and 13 year old. Captain Kelly stopped to point out amazing birds (which he also fed from the boat) and stopped for a total of about 8 alligators including on that was about 10-12' feeding them as well getting everyone (safely) very close to these amazing animals. He brought a small gator along with him and allowed those who wanted to hold it. Truly a special experience for our family and highlight of our trip to the region. Highly recommend this company and ask for Captain Kelly...you won't be disappointed!

I went on this tour in 2017 and it has SIGNIFICANTLY gone downhill since then. I think all the guides are getting bored with doing tours. Everyone was pretty unfriendly, which I remember them being nothing but nice the first time. Our guide didnt seem at all interested in being there. You don't get to see or hold baby gators anymore and everyone has a different excuse for why. The first time I went we spent almost the whole time exploring the marsh and looking for gators and this time it was more about showing the barges and the pumps and the canal. I learned tons about gators the first time I went and this time he didnt tell us hardly anything. I was telling my group more on the tour than he did. The first time I went it was so fun to drive over the marsh and we didn't do that either. I've recommended this company to so many people, but I guess it's time to find a different one. So disappointing. Seems like they're just out to get your money now instead of a bunch of guys having fun playing out in the swamp like in 2017

My husband and I were on our first airboat tour on Sept 25. Capt Kelly was very knowledgeable and sure knows how to keep a captive audience. I learned quite a bit about the flora and fauna of the area. I will highly recommend to everyone I know, and hope to come back again!

We have done a swamp tour, which was fun, but the New Orleans Airboat Tour bring something much more special. They picked us up from our hotel. We packed some drinks and Captain Ramon brought us a cooler and ice to put them in. He expertly guided our boat to some very beautiful and interesting spots and told us all about the ecosystem surrounding us. We loved seeing all the gators and holding the baby one was a true highlight!

Look no further, New Orleans Airboat tours is the best option for your swamp tour adventure just outside of town. After two visits I thought a review was in order. The local captains are super knowledgeable and passionate about the area and Louisiana wetland conservation in addition to gators. Their stories and shared truths about the land are as much fascinating as they are entertaining. As a recent transplant to the city I would not take my visitors anywhere else for a swamp tour and can’t wait to come back again and again.

Capt Kelly was fun and very knowledgeable... he is funny and keeps you entertained. Also, knows this environment and these animals... loves sharing his backyard with you! He is definitely passionate about what he does! Our family loved this tour and will definitely go again as soon as we are in the area again.

I really can’t say enough great things about this experience. We have kids (12,10,8, and 6) who joined my husband and I. We decided to choose this company because it’s a family business even though it was a little more expensive. I loved that it wasn’t commercialized. Josh was our guide grew up in the area, and was incredibly knowledgeable on all things swamp related. He was very engaging, and my kids thought he was the best. You can tell that he really loves his job, and wants you to enjoy it. My youngest counted 35 alligators that we saw on our ride. The only bad thing is the time passed too quickly. I thought my younger two would get bored, but everyone was disappointed when it was over. Worth every penny.
