We anchored our boat near this historic lighthouse and watched the sunset over Lake Pontchartrain while enjoying a bottle of wine with cheese & crackers. Beautiful, relaxing and romantic.

If you are photographer visiting Louisiana, this is a great place for you. The quintessential Louisiana lighthouse. Very picturesque especially at sunset.

The lighthouse is not accessible by land anymore. They are talking about building one, but the lake keeps eroding the coast and I doubt they ever will. There is a spot that you can take pictures (great sunset location). Go to the very end of...More

I like lighthouses, so it would have been nice to see it up close, to climb to the top, to see the view, and get a sense of what it must have been like to be a keeper or keeper's assistant in the early days....More
