I agree with earlier reviews. This was the real deal. Tac gives a great swamp tour experience. He is so accommodating and the tour is overwhelmingly beautiful. Thank you!!

Brilliant tour with Capt Tac who has spent his entire life in the local area and has many a story on how it’s changed in the past decades. He started with a series of maps to show how the land is being used and what’s being done to fight against flooding. His private strip of water just had us and nature so you have a good chance to see alligators, in fact we saw 5 of them all close to the boat and he was quick to point out various birds of prey. A passionate local, with great anecdotes, lots of knowledge and great access to some wild spots. Highly recommend!!

This tour immerses you into the swamp, and explains its importance to the survival of multiple species including all of Greater New Orleans. Captain Tac is a true conservationist and goes into detail about the features and functions of the delicate ecosystems that make up the swamps and bayous.

Our tour guide and owner, Tac was so amazing ! We were the last tour of the day and got totally lost. He was gracious and accommodating. We had a beautiful tour & learned so much about the ecosystem, restoration, invasive species, the effect of Katrina, the history of pulling oil out of the area. We only saw a few alligators as the weather was cold and they were sleeping. But we saw their habitat, learned how to gauge their size and understood more about these amazing creatures. Tac did not chum the water or other wise aggravate them for our pleasure which was preferable to me and the rest in our party. As we are all avid conservatiotionists, naturalist s and historians Tac truly met us with so much information... We were thrilled. The boat was solid, performed well and Tac seemed at ease on the water.

I would have liked an all day tour and will book one the next time I go to New Orleans.

Thank you,Tac for an amazing day.
All the best. JA Los Angeles

Despite it being the coldest day in the year, the warmth of welcome took all the chill away! Capt T was hugely knowledgable and clearly deeply loves his homeland. Within minutes it ceased to be a commercial operation (although at no time was there a drop in standards or professionalism) and became a boat trip skippered by a friend.

Book the small boat for a more intimate trip, and definitely ask for capt T!

Worth every penny? Yes. Would I return? Without a doubt.

This tour is the real deal. Maximum group size is 6, and in our case it was only the two of us. Nevertheless Capt. Tac explained with passion how the Mississippi delta and the marsh lands changed over time and the recovery work they do to repair the damage done. We were very lucky to see 3 alligators up close swimming around the boat, an superb experience for us big city folks.
Everything is very well prepared, coffee, snacks, water, take home material... everything is included.
I can not recommend this tour enough, is is worth every penny.

Tray lead our Bayou tour by boat. He was a wonderful tour guide ready with historical, ecological information and a wealth of knowledge about the flora and fauna. Terrific sense of humor and open to questions. The bayou was gorgeous and a welcome break from the bustle of New Orleans. I'm looking forward to seeing Tray's Bayou cookbook!

This is a REAL DEAL outdoor swamp-bayou-river tour given by knowledgeable tour guides. Our guide, Stephen, knew the local stuff and the deeper knowledge about the ecosystem of the swamp and bayou. LOVED they don't 'put on a show' with animals in the wild. What you see is what is there. We saw many alligators, turtles, wild pigs. It was a mild day in February and I'm sure as the weather warms there will be much more to see. I would go back in a heart beat.
