Fished this past weekend with Troy. First class operation. I have fished with many guides and Troy is truly top notch. We had a weather-shortened first day but he put us on the fish quickly and his local knowledge was evident from the moment we left the ramp. He had a cancellation the next day and I was able to book a morning trip and once again Troy knew exactly where to go and where they’d be. We enjoyed excellent fishing and Troy is truly a pleasure to spend the day on the boat with. All the redfish you’d want and some nice ones mixed in. I could not have had a better experience with Troy and will be fishing with him the next time I’m back in the area

I took a half day trip with Captain Troy in July and had a wonderful time. I had gone by myself and he created a very comfortable atmosphere with his friendly and charismatic personality. He helped to coach me so that I could caste my line right where the fish were, we had a successful trip! I would recommend fishing with Captain Troy to any one, even if the fishing is slow you are sure to have a great time on the water.

Great experience with Capt Troy. We booked our trip months out, not expecting much in December. We went out in record low temps, not another boat in sight all day, but captain Troy still managed to find fish. He was super knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely recommend him and plan on coming back when the weather is a little more favorable.

I recently went on a charter with South Louisiana Redfishing. If you want to go after Red Fish (or others in Southern Louisiana...) you need to go with a well versed local expert. Capt. Troy is the best around - he is very knowledgeable, has the top gear and knows where the hot spots are. Above all, he is a great guy and someone you are happy to spend 5+ hours with on the water. Although he is an expert, Capt. Troy makes it all too easy - he is very patient with people who are new to fishing (if it's your first time out, by the end you will think you're a pro) and if you are an advanced level fisherman he still has many great tricks up his sleeve. What a pleasure - can't wait until my next guests are in town to take them out with Capt. Troy! Highly recommend!

Captain Troy is a tremendous guide. I've heard grand tales about Redfishing so while in Lafayette for a quick overnight I booked Captain Troy for a half day to see what the fuss is all about. When Captain Troy cast for the first time, just to show me how it's done, and immediately caught a nice size Redfish I knew I was in for a good time! On the ride back across the bay 4 hours later I was still grinning ear to ear. I caught several large Redfish, a couple large enough to leave me needing to regroup after finally getting them in the boat. I felt at home on Captain Troy's boat as he is friendly, attentive and fun with great awareness. I'm not always prepared and was very thankful he was supplied with sun screen and water. It was easy to tell Captain Troy has been guiding for years as he has the confidence and easy nature of an expert in his field. It was great fun when the boats nearby would ask 'what ya fishing with' because they watched us pull one Redfish after another out of the water.

Captain Troy knows where the redfish are! He put us right on them! It wasn’t peak season so we didn’t expect much but he found them! Caught a 20 lb bull red! Amazing experience and the price was best I found! We will definitely be back!

We recently spent 3 full days with Captain Troy and had an amazing time. We cannot recommend South Louisiana Redfishing or Captain Troy enough. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient (which was needed with some of our casting), a true professional and just a downright great person. We caught tons of fish, told many stories and shared countless laughs. A++++, would highly recommend.

Capt.Troy from South Louisiana Refishing was awesome! I have been a fishing guide of over 10 years in MT and AK and have fly fished all over the world, so I am very picky. We fished an early morning half day trip and I was immediately impressed with Capt. Troy. The combination of his knowledge of the fishery, wildlife and surrounding area with his top-notch equipment and boat makes him the perfect guide. I highly recommend Capt.Troy and South Louisiana Refishing!!

Captain Troy is far and away the best guide I have ever fished with. My fiance and I booked a trip with him last week and had a blast. On a day that was slow for everyone else we spoke with, Captain Troy put us onto some quality fish. He was incredibly personable and clearly very passionate about fishing. I cannot recommend him highly enough, we will absolutely be booking another trip.

I cannot recommend South Louisiana Redfishing or Captain Nash enough! He is warm and welcoming, kind and funny, and incredibly experienced.
Not only is this man a true professional, he is also an all-around awesome person. He made us feel at home on the boat and seemed really proud and excited whenever we caught anything.
He communicated brilliantly as we made plans and confirmed the day before our trip. We met up at 6 am at a gas station he recommended with phenomenal breakfast sandwiches and made sure we had the supplies needed for a great trip.
Our initial mission on this trip was to get some good footage of fishing as we were really in Lafayette to work. But before we knew it we were spending a few extra hours JUST fishing because Captain Nash made the whole experience so wonderful.
You may be able to find a cheaper fishing experience but that is exactly what it will be. Cheap. Captain Nash has so much experience in this field his tours really are worth every penny.
10 out of 10, would highly recommend.
