Everything on this trip was fabulous!!! Marie treated us to great history, Louisiana lore, and terrific venues with delicious local food. The tour bus was a delight along with Marie's ability to spin a yarn and drive carefully. She also was so careful providing distance for us while we were eating, riding, and walking....provided hand sanitizer too. We loved this tour and highly recommend it!

I was tired of giving traditional gifts, as my grandparents already have everything... I gave this as a Father's day gift. They enjoyed the experience!
They participated in the Around the World In Acadiana, Taste Tour. They said that the bus experience was fun.
After visiting four restaurants, they were very full and satisfied! Their favorites were Blue Basil, Tabouli (for the live music) and Bread and Circus.
My grandma said "What a fun adventure! We went to four restaurants all very different but all good!".

We have been on the Cajun Food Tour three times this year. Morning Bus, Afternoon Bus, and Breaux Bridge Walking tour. All three outings were of fantastic value. We even learned history on each despite being from Louisiana. We highly recommend you consider this tour if you are looking for a great way to spend time enjoying Acadiana culture. Great for locals and visitiors.

We had the most wonderful long lunch with Mz. Marie. She was so kind and enthusiastic about her home and history. As a recent transplant to the area I am so grateful to find wonderful new spots to shop and enjoy. I know I will be returning for more tours (we visited 5 of a possible 30+ partners - gotta catch 'em all!) And to the partner locations to shop and dine! Thanks Cajun Food Tours!!!

Our tour guide Jay was very knowledgeable on cuisine from round the world, had neat stories, and really great to hang out with. Food was delicious and tons of it for the $37 fee. Will definitely do this tour again!

My husband and I are from Tennessee and have good friends who live in Texas. We meet somewhere on TVce a year to hangout and catch up. This year we chose Lafayette. We all took the Cajun Food Tour today and had a great time. We stopped at 5 places, including a meat market, and tasted many local favorites. There was much more food served at each stop than we expected. We were all quite full when the tour was over. And Marie, our hostess, was terrific. She is personable and knowledgeable and kept us entertained the entire time. We plan to come back to Lafayette and we plan to take the food tour again.

We had a great tour with Jay as our guide and driver. Jay did a great job giving us the history of the Lafayette area and the food that we sampled. The trip was a full three hours stopping at the best restaurants and stores. We appreciate the hospitality of all the employees at the stops. We went to Earl’s Grocery, Fezzo’s, the Cajun Table, Bon Temps Grill and Poupart Bakery. Thank you again to Jay and the Cajun Food Tour.

We have been in this tour many many times and always come back with new friends and family. Whitney our tour guide always keeps us laughing, fulls our brains with lots of historical knowledge and always keeps our belly full with great Cajun food. We thoroughly enjoyed our Cajun Food tour! Marie is passionate about sharing the Cajun culture with others. And as a former history teacher, she is both knowledgeable and entertaining. Her van is clean, comfortable, and cozy and she makes everyone feel at home. The food was exceptional and you could tell she put a lot of thought into her selection of dishes and places to eat. It's a great alternative to going out to eat at a restaurant. Make sure you bring your appetite!

This was our 2nd tour and it was just as fun as the first one! It's a great way to try a bunch of different local flavors at local places and learn about the culture and people of Acadiana. The orange bus is adorable and the entire process is streamlined and very efficient. A MUST if you're looking for something fun and different!

I have never taken part of food tour. So I'm wondering if it could interisting for a couple of 45 years old.
Reding some comments, I have the impression (probably wrong), that this tour is for older people.

I'm so sorry no one ever answered this question for you; just seeing it now. Anyway, all of the tours are a great time for any age! Guests range in age from children to senior citizens. Lots of couples, lots of "girls day out" groups, lots of families, birthday celebrations, office staff outings, etc. The bus is a party bus style (perimeter seating) which makes for a great time with friends that come together or for meeting new people who come from all over the country and the world! .

Mark, where are you from? Have you had Cajun food before? What made you think the food was going to be a full meal at each restaurant? I ask because the adult cost for the tour would barely have gotten one adult a full meal at one restaurant, not because it's expensive, because IT IS WORTH IT. As far as Cajun food, what I can promise you that what you got WAS real Cajun food. Unless you go to McDonald's in Lafayette, everything is Cajun food. I've lived and eaten out in New Orleans all of my life and visited Lafayette and eaten there more than once. I can pretty much promise you that what you experienced was worth every penny you spent; if the food didn't surprise you in a good way, it may be because what you were expecting was an unfair idea of what you actually ate. If you didn't like the flavor, that's not unusual at any new restaurant you visit. I'm sorry you felt disappointed, but to be fair, please look back on your memories of the tour and compare it to what you thought you were going to get, any literature about the tour and see what gave you the idea there was going to be a full meal at each stop. Trust me, if you had gotten a full meal at each stop, it would have cost you more than your entire trip and it STILL WOULD HAVE BEEN WORTH IT. Please rethink your experience and see if you don't think your review might deserve a little adjustment on a more positive side.

Sorry, but your own ice chest isn't allowed, but the company has one on the bus in which you are invited to put your own refreshments and any perishables you might purchase on the tour.

Loved reading the reviews on the Cajun food tour. Planning a visit and needed to know if one in the party doesn’t like or can’t eat hot, spicy food, are there other options. Also if you don’t mind, can you give me an idea on price? Thanks

Yes. She always asks for food preferences or issues. The cost is around $40ish per person. I can’t remember the exact price. Worth every penny!

Hi. I hope I'm not too late! But, yes, if we know ahead of time, we can get substitions for you at most places. You will be missing some of the most "Cajun" dishes, but the tour is a whole lot of fun, stories, info about the area, and we will feed you very well regardless!! 😊

Driving in from Natchez Tuesday morning, August 23. What time does the tour begin on Tuesday? What hotels do you "pick up" clients from?
Do we need tickets in advance? Will only spend one day in Lafayette.
