Had a great time at the Reba McEntire concert ! Great seats, great sound for the sold out crowd! Security though needs people sitting in the aisles because folks kept wanting to come up & take pics and getting in front of others even in the front row. They finally took care of it. Other than that it was a great show!!

Nice venue with comfortable seats. Good views from just about anywhere. Lots of snack and toy booths just outside of seating.

Great local stadium for basketball and concerts. Ticket office is efficient and friendly...handled my season football tickets and parking for me this year perfectly, and the wonderful Ms. Susan Breaux even walked my parking pass over to save me a trip to the RCAF office!

I am so livid by the Cajun domes decision to implement a clear bags policy for Louisiana comicon 2022. I think adding a clear bag policy on a convention where people are bringing items to get signed by guests is an exercise in futility that only the most idiotic would engage in. I can understand implementing this policy at a concert or sporting event where people don’t need a large bag, but not at a convention.
How am I expected to carry three full-size helmets, seven action figures, and over a dozen comic books and a small bag? Not only is this causing frustration with con goers, but it is also bottlenecking the amount of revenue the guests can earn. I had over $3000 to spend and signatures. That will now be reduced to probably 400 Soley because I am now not allowed to bring the items I wish to get signed into the convention because they can’t fit in a tiny clear bag.
Oh and did I mention that not only are they implementing a clear bag policy, but they are also requiring these clear bags to go through a bag check. Can anyone reading this point out the redundancy in that statement? Why require clear bags if you’re going to check them? White check the bags if you are requiring them to be clear? It’s like these people have never ran a Comic convention before. I’ve been to dozen conventions this year alone and I’ve always been allowed to bring a simple pull cart for my items. I was told very rudely by a woman on the phone that now I am not allowed to bring a cart.
Bottom line I’m absolutely livid if they’re in ability to see how this policy affect the convention, the people going to the convention, and the gas who signed up to appear at the convention. I for one hope Louisiana comiccon drops Cajun dome for good

The Cajundome is a pretty average arena by 2014 standards. When it opened with was really nice for a smaller city but most college towns have something this nice. The seats tend to be on the smaller side, so if you are a big person you will suffer in these little seats with very little leg room. The stairs are also very hard to go up and down.
The Cajundome has terrible problems handling big events. They never seem to be able to get tickets correct, there is a minimal amount of entrance doors, and the restrooms are pretty bad.
My biggest problem in the Dome, and at Cajun Field, and at the softball complex, is the ridiculous food prices for horrible food. You have to pay the price and then eat the food to believe it for yourself. This is simply a money grab by the university and the catering company.

I've been to many events at the Cajundome & Convention Center. I seldom miss a UL Ragin Cajun basketball game there, and I've been to many a good concert there too. It probably seats roughly 11,000 to 12,000... big, but not too big. Concessions are above average, though expect to pay arena prices.

This location is ok for a concert. The parking is close and free. The food and drink options are great. Easy to get in and out. As for a concert, it is not the greatest arena I have been in. The stage was way. off to the left of my seat so I had to keep my head turned to the left for the entire 4 hours if I wanted to see the action on the stage.

My husband and I attended a Mardi Gras ball here in January of this year at the convention center. Very nice venue! Hilton Garden Inn right across the street so you can walk from Cajundome to hotel. Very convenient.

I was here to present for a conference. The facilities are nice, modern, and clean. I had a few questions and the facility staff were helpful. The acoustics are well for speaking, I had over 100 people in my room and did not need a microphone. The campus and grounds are nice, ample parking.

the Dome is by far the best place in Lafayette to have a convention / Product Show / or a basketball game. We do hockey too

Graduation is in two parts. The first part is according to college and the student receives his or her diploma. This part is about an hour in a half. They start right on time. The second part is awards, speeches, and the student's walking in and existing. If your student isn't getting an award it's quite boring and long. This part is close to 2 hours. Prepare to be there a while (3-4 hrs.)
