Easy walk from Veteran's Park to Southdown Plantation, or vice versa

The bridge crosses over a small bayou next to the plantation. Warm months may offer you a glimpse of alligators swimming right in the middle of the city!

I'm not sure why this is on trip advisor. This is a walk-way over Little Bayou Black going from Southdown Museum to Veterans Memorial Park. Do see both of those spots.

Don't know why this a big deal... no one local in the area thinks it is... Just go to the real deal-- Visit Southdown Plantation.

Just go to the Southdown Plantation. It is just a bridge but we did see several turtles. The plantation and the Veterans park was well worth our walk. We were able... More

Beautiful place to walk around and relax. The visitor will enjoy walking in downtown Houma. Visitors will enjoy wildlife in the bayou as you walk across the Pedestrian Bridge.

It's a bridge over a fairly ugly Bayou. If you are lucky and able to park (and pay for the meter) you can walk over it. If you're that desperate for something to do go over to the nice library and get a book.
