Springhill is close to our home and the grounds are open all year, locals or anyone who knows can access through the pedestrian gate (opening in the wall) along the footpath on the main road between Moneymore and Coagh. This access is free and many...More

I visited this as part of the EHOD weekend, so I got in for free. Would I have paid to go in? Yes. It's a good house and the tour was interesting. It was a guided tour and the chap who took it was very...More

I enjoyed my visit to springhill house. There wasn't a lot of flowers about so think I will plan my next visit during spring or summer. Enjoyed walking around the grounds anyway. Also got a tour of the house. Had a fantastic guide who was...More

We didn't spend as much time as we would have liked in the gardens because of torrential rain but we enjoyed the guided tour of the house. We usually prefer to wander around such places without a guide and just speak to the volunteers in...More

Springhill House was much more interesting than I thought it would be and I am glad we made the long journey to visit it. The oldest part dates from the 1600s and as you move between each room, you see the changing design and architecture...More

This is a really nice place to visit with nice short walks around the gardens. You even get to touch a 1000 year old tree. The house tour was very good with some stories by our guide Aisling I think. We only found out later...More

First of all, the negative points. Apparently there was a vintage vehicle rally taking place that day and we had to join the long traffic queue on approach to the house. We entered through the gates with everyone else and was stopped by show organisers...More

I love doing the tours of National Trust houses, and Springhill definitely doesn't disappoint. It's a stunning house with a lot of history. The tour guides knew their stuff, and were able to give a great tour. The gardens are wonderfully well kept, and the...More
