My 4 year old boy loves dinosaurs and since Jurassic world came out its been non stop Dino's. We were looking for something to do before the kids started school.
We saw this on the internet and said why not.
When you get their you drive down road you see some electrical fences with a sign that says danger and though the tree you see a T. rex.
The prices were a little on the high side especially after we walked though
You walk along a path and ever so often there is a dinosaur statue it has a info bored talking about the Dino. Out of all the Dino's only five move while your outside and you can hear varies Dino's roar. When you reach the end you go through a door and their is about 4 Dino's that move and roar as you pass that's it
You can walk the path as many times as you like their a picnic area and a swing set for the kids to play. They also serve hot dogs and hamburgers, drink and have a Dino gift shop.

About the price of going to the movies, Prehistoric Park is a small dinosaur attraction near Henderson, LA. It opened in November of 2014 and includes a self-guided walking tour and fossil pit for hands-on learning. Bring your camera and arrive early as Louisiana summers can be hot & humid.
There aren't any real fossils here; the dinosaurs are all man-made replicas. About 8 of the dinosaurs move and there is an audio recording of roaring dinosaurs to add to the experience.
You can go through the tour as many times as you want. This would be a nice place to stop mid-roadtrip to get some exercise. There is a jungle gym for kids to play on near the Fossil Pit that will soon be covered (or so the staff told me).
There are covered picnic tables and a snack bar near the Ticket Booth.
🐊🐍🐲
Spoiler Alert for parents: If you have a little one, the scariest part is when you enter the building at the end of the walking tour. There are moving, roaring carnivores on both sides of the hallway that leads to the Gift Shop.

We visited on Saturday afternoon as a family of 7 (with two elementary aged children). For us, visiting the park is a 2 hour drive one-way "day trip"
Pros: The walkway through the outdoor Dino exhibit is nice, there's a nice little gift shop, kids loved the fossil dig and the cute swing set and play area. This would be a great place for a birthday party!
Cons: The dinosaurs are in major need of some updating, most that were obviously supposed to move/make noise did not, the price you pay is pretty steep for the actual product delivered, and it's definitely something you can finish seeing in 30-45 minutes.
Overall, we did have a very good time visiting and the kids had a great time in the fossil dig and playing in the play area. It's not a place I could see us visiting multiple times, but I am glad that we did.

Nice little park. I like when you are driving by, you see the fences that say to stay away and electric fencing just like you have seen in the movies. The parking lot is shared with the business next door. Friendly employees. Lots of dinosaurs and the dinosaur sounds being piped in through speakers that are disguised as rocks. I recommend this for anyone with kids, or those who are kids at heart.

We drove 2 hours on Mother's Day to come spend the day at this park. From what we had heard & saw on the web site we thought it was going to be a very realistic & exciting adventure. We were sadly disappointed to arrive to an empty parking lot & then discovered it took all of 10 minutes to walk the entire trail which only consisted of a few moving exhibits. And to my horror, the entire trail is lined with poison ivy!!! For the rates they charge they should at least be able to keep the park up. If you are passing right there, have easily impressed small children, have 10 minutes to spare & want to spend around $80 for a family then by all means stop by as long as no one in your family is highly sensitive to poison ivy. I did express my disappointment to the manager & was given a full refund.

One of a kind attraction in this area! Wide walkway to view life like dinosaurs. Picnic area, concessions, a playground for children and a bone digging area. A huge souvenir shop finishes out the tour. A must see off I-10 exit 115

Had a fun time despite the heat. The dinosaurs were impressive, especially the motorized ones and I liked reading facts about them on the posted signs. Too bad they weren't proofed better since I saw at least 3 signs with typographical errors.
The highlight was the roomful of animated dinosaurs at the end of the tour and before entering the gift shop. The tail of the dinosaur on the left looked like it would knock the head off a really tall person (6'3" or so!)
As others have said, it's a little overpriced for the size of the place but it was very clean, with cemented walkways throughout, so very accessible to wheelchairs. Theres a fossil dig area and a covered playground. However the playground area doesn't appear to be handicap accessible.
A limited offering of food is available but the gift shop offers stuffed versions of every imaginable dinosaur. I've never seen such a variety!

Are the animated dinosaurs working? I see a lot of posts from people disappointed that so many were not working.

We went on Saturday and many of them were not working. Only a few towards the end.
