Kind people with big hearts!
Mar 2021
After we were stood up by Black Bayou Airboat Tours, the kind man who runs the gator farm invited my children to feed the gators and shop for a souvenir in his shop. His generosity salvaged a rotten afternoon!

A little sad

I hope they at least treat the gators humanely before slaughtering them to make purses and shoes for rich snobs.

Private tour

We came a few days earlier than other geocachers so we could hold The gators. It was awesome. It was just me, my mom and sister on the tour. Found the information very interesting. Had a great time. Even got to feed the gators .

Mission Trip Excursion
Jun 2019 • Family
The Greenwood Gator farm was a great experience. We had a group of 5 teens and 2 adults visiting on our free day from doing mission work with UMCOR in Baldwin. We learned a lot, the staff was extremely nice and worked to give us the best experience, and we had a great time. I’d highly recommend it!

Great tour and knowledge of alligators
Mar 2019 • Friends
We had a great walking tour with Amber. She was very knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. It is in a very clean, organized, a/c area. Alligators, alot of birds, animals. The kids will enjoy it very much. They have a neat gift shop there as well. We learned alot plus we got to meet Frenchy Crochet on the tv show Swamp People on history channel. Trip I’ll never forget.

Guest Tour
Mar 2019
We had guest from out of state visiting with us and we decided to take them to Greenwood Gator Farm. It truly was a very good experience for them. We took the boat tour and the farm tour. We packed lunches to eat under the pavilion after the tours. The children enjoyed it and so did the adults.

The reason I titled this review with question marks is that I am unsure of how to rate this and what to say and I really didn’t hear much of the tour.
The problem is that they charged us full price for a tour but stuck us with a private birthday party of screaming kids and we could not hear most of what was being said.
I think there is some good information about the farming of alligators however I was not going to pay a second time to hear it.
I will stay neutral on this place as I think either greed or the fact they didn’t want us to leave without spending a dollar clouded their common sense judgement on adding us to this private kids party.

nice gathering
Oct 2017 • Friends
I attended the Greenwood Gator Farm and Tours on October 13, 2017 for a Geocaching event. I found it very interesting, especially how soft the belly of the alligators feel.

Really worth a visit
Jul 2018 • Couples
Very interesting visit, clear explanations and "cute" babies we could hold in our hands.
Quite a few details about the regulations as well - very reassuring about the fate of the alligators and how things are managed to support the survival of the species
Very educational, worth a visit.

Held a REAL alligator!
Oct 2017
This was such an interesting place to visit. They tell you all about the alligator industry; yes, that's a thing. They show you how eggs are gathered out of the mother's nest in the wild and put into a room with special conditions that help determine the sex of the baby alligator. My son and I were able to watch the babies hatch on one of our visits. It was amazing because that only happens for a short period once a year! We were able to hold an alligator, a REAL alligator!! Who gets to say that?! Great "cajun" experience that I would surely recommend.
