Super Museum
Oct 2021
We were part of a tour group going from Nashville to New Orleans. The theme of the tour was Music in America. Having been to several of the big museums in Nashville and Memphis, we were somewhat skeptical as to what this small museum could offer. Do not let its size keep you away. It is crammed full of information about country music stars from this town. Surprising how many could come from such a small town. The museum is in an old post office which is very interesting in its self. The exhibits are very well done. If you are interested in country music and you are in the area this little museum should be a must see for you. It was super!!!

Just Go and See the Ferriday 3
Aug 2021 • Couples
If your close to Ferriday or if your on the fence about going….go and check it out.
Wife and I were staying in Natchez, I really wanted to go and she tagged along just to keep company.
She was so glad she came. The staff was great, the museum is in an old Post Office…just go see it.
The 2 women that give the tours are really cool and friendly and knowledgeable.

A gem of blues info
Aug 2021
About an hour of your time will give you Blues information that we found very enjoyable. If you find yourself near Ferriday, La. you will enjoy this Museum tribute to some of their local talent thru the years.

A hidden gem
Mar 2021 • Solo
Looking for things to do around Natchez, I found this museum. Great little museum containing “the cousins of Ferriday” Jerry Lee Lewis, Mickey Gilley and Jimmy Swaggart. Honestly, I didn’t know Jimmy Swaggart played such beautiful piano and a good singing voice. Other artists are celebrated as well. I had just as much fun speaking with the caretakers of the museum. Extremely friendly and I loved the conversation. If you are in the area, I highly encourage a visit to this wonderful museum.

A must see music museum!
Jan 2021
The Delta Music Museum in Ferriday is a must for any music fan such as myself. The museum is located in the old post office building and houses memorabilia from musical talents of the state. Ferriday is the hometown of Jerry Lee Lewis, Mickey Gilley and Jimmy Swaggart and the museum has a great display representing the lives of all three.

What a gem!

The docents were so gracious and allowed my husband and me to see the museum even though they were preparing for filming later. We were impressed with the interesting displays. There is no cost to enter, but be sure to leave a donation. I am sure all small museums such as this have suffered during the pandemic.

Music fans of all ages will come to appreciate (more) the remarkable talent grown in the Delta triangle (Nashville-Memphis-New Orleans) by a visit to the Delta Music Museum. Ferriday natives Jerry Lee Lewis, Jimmy Swaggart, and Mickey Gilley would be enough in themselves to deserve a museum, but the additional hall of fame inductees, such as Conway Twitty and Percy Sledge, enhance the experience exponentially. If you want to relive or learn about American music history, this is a must-see, must-hear. It's a quick 15 minute drive from Natchez, so hop across the river from the bluff to the delta. Such a bargain too: free! The historic post office in which the museum is located is also a treat, complete with a WPA mural. The enthusiastic, welcoming staff go above and beyond, eager to answer any questions asked!

Delta visit
Feb 2020 • Couples
We went to visit the Delta Music Museum and found it to be very interesting. It not only covered the three famous cousins but included many others. Conway Twitty, Aaron Nevell, Percy Sledge, Fats Domino, Johnny Horton just to name a few. Our guide, Jane, did an excellent job presenting information about the different artist. If you are in the area this museum is a must visit.
