We had "difficulty" on picking which cave tour that we would like to do, all multi days tours look so interesting and amazing. After days of thinking, finally we decided to take this 3 days Wild Tu Lan Tour because of its Level 3 difficulty (we don't want to take more than Level 3 because we don't want to "suffer" too much on your vacation), and chance to swim inside the cave, and we think 3 days should be good amount of days for adventure!

We picked Oxalis because our vietnamese friend recommended this company, and it is best decision ever. Oxalis is very professional, the whole team make sure we are prepared for this tour since the beginning, by sending us informations by email the things we need to prepare (even in their website you can find all of these informations). So we came prepared. The only thing missing was we didn't prepare for rain jacket. But don't worry, Oxalis sells some things that you might need at their office, the profits is for village around.

We like so much our guide, Dai. His english is good, thus we can communicate no problem and had good conversation, which is important for us because we want to know and learn more about the area and the caves. He is also funny, we (and the other 2 couples) had so much laugh with him. At night we played cards together, and he taught us new card game, and we called it Dai's. During the trek he also make sure everybody is okay, he walked slow step by step to match our pace.

This is really unforgettable trip for us, thanks to Dai and the whole team. The kitchen team made very good food, everyday not the same, and so much food they provided for us. Oxalis make sure we had comfort trip in the jungle as much as possible, Dai and the safety assistant even carried our water and jackets in some parts of the trek.

The trek was very muddy, that is expected. In the beginning we tried to avoid it but later we don't care so much. The 6 caves that we visited in this trip all are amazing and breathtaking. They are different from one to the others. And we all agree, that the most spectacular one is Dai's favorite which is on the last day. We did this tour in beginning of February, so at night it was cold, but don't worry, the team gave us 2 sleeping bags for each to make sure we didn't get cold when we sleep. The water was a little bit cold for swimming, but after 1-2 minutes you don't really feel it anymore. It was really satisfying trip, we are very happy customers!

I've done two tours with oxalis now: tu lan 3 day and the absolutely stunning hang son doong 4 day tour. Both were fabulous and oxalis is a fantastic company that cares about the customer experience deeply. Equally, they care about preserving the caves and the environment, which matters to me a lot.

While the price may seem high, it's worth every dong since they work really hard making the experience a memorable one (for a group of 10 for son doong there's a team of almost 30 carrying stuff, cooking, keeping us safe, etc).
Would, will, and have recommended to friends. If I could give 10 stars I would.

My wife and I did the trip on the 4th of January. Our guide, Dong, together with Porters, chefs and others did an excellent job with keeping our group safe and supported all the way. Dong exceeded his job as a guide, as he fitted and accomodated the trip to the group's needs while we were on the hike. His insight in all aspects of the trip (including games at night time) was extraordinary. Highly recommended.

Our entire experience with Oxalis was excellent from the very first email contact. The main office was very responsive to all emails, answering questions and helping plan a trip for a family with three teenage boys. We decided to go with a private tour and the additional expense was well worth the money. Our guide Lang was superb. He was very knowledgeable about the caves, Vietnam and followed safety procedures at all times. We have done adverture trips in Costa Rica, India, Thailand, France and USA. Oxalis is top notch and follows safety protocol. Highly recommended.

I did the 2 day 1 night Hang En trek and it was phenomenal! You trek through the jungle for about 10kms, traversing rivers along the way, and arrive at the cave in time for a swim before nightfall. The next morning you explore the cave for a few hours before trekking back through the jungle and climbing a huge mountain to meet your bus. Note: this trip is for those with average fitness levels.
The Oxalis team are PROS and do everything to ensure you have a great experience. Our guides were exceptional - and the trek would not have been the same without them. The porters are out of this world. They were so patient, kind and supportive as I made my way up the mountain and needed a little more time than others. They made fans for me to use, sang songs to distract me, and encouraged me to continue.
The chefs are impressive. The food I had in the middle of a cave in the jungle was better than the food I had the rest of my trip.
If you're considering this, you should do it. A once in a lifetime experience!

TL;DR version: amazing sceneries, jaw dropping encounter with En cave, challenging climbs, good food, friendly and professional Oxalis crew. Not to be missed when visiting Vietnam.

The good news is, you're going to see the jungle! The bad news is... it's in the jungle. We joined the Hang En 2-days Adventure as a group of five friends in January. Admittedly, it's a challenge to visit Hang En. High humidity, high temperatures... you might ask yourself what you were thinking, once you're descending into the valley that leads to Hang En. And the stories about the mythical leeches of Phong Nha add up to the suspense of this all.

But when you make it to the point where the first river crosses your path, all that had to be endured will be forgotten. Surrounded by green, with the sound of water flowing as you wade through the river, the jungle is a great place to be.

Our guides Anetta and Hieu made sure we safely passed Doong village before entering En cave. At the camp site it became clear how well prepared the Oxalis crew was. Porters carried not only part of our belongings, but also food, tents and a fully equipped kitchen, the latter to cook great food in a great amount as well.

The cave itself is best to be experienced by oneself. Its massive dimensions are hard to capture in a photograph (although Anetta and Hieu will help to create the best portraits of the participants) and the feeling of swimming in this ancient cave is a once in a lifetime experience.

Oxalis made this trek a breeze, pushing their service to a high standard. Communication from the start was clear and professional. Guides and porters were friendly, helpful and skilled to make sure you survive even the tough climb at the very end of this amazing expedition. We will never forget this experience.

My husband and I went on the Tu Lan caves tour. This tour was amazing, we didn’t know what to expect but it was simply outstanding in every way.

The communications during booking is great, you get speedy responses and answers to your questions.

Closer to the date pick up is being arranged by the trek guides who speak very good english and start providing background info on the area and the tour.

The tour starts with a briefing in the office where they offer tea/coffee. The office is a little small for all the people but it’s manageable.

After the briefing we were off for the trek. During the trek, i felt safe at all time, this was really important for us. We also received plenty of delicious food which was another key point for us.

We loved it, will trek with Oxalis in the future and definitely recommend others to book with them too.

Our 3 day trip to Tu Lan was fantastic and we had a great time with our tour guides Canh and small Hung!

The booking and organisation with Tra was smooth and she was responsive to further questions over email and what’sapp. The only thing that could have been clearer is what key words to highlight for arranging insurance cover.

The tour itself was excellent. Other reviews had warned that it would be challenging but if you are generally active and do some level of exercise then it should not be particularly strenuous. The bigger concern might be whether you’re afraid of heights or climbing over sharp rock. Our guides, porters, and safety assistants were very vigilant and we felt assured having them around.

There are several wet caves, which involve swimming to get to the mouth of the cave. A raft is available if weather conditions are not appropriate or if you do not want to swim, but if you’re signing up for this tour then you have been warned and you should jump in and make the most of the experience.

The campsites were extremely civilised and far better than what we had expected. Tents were clean and as comfortable as one should expect from a camping trip in the middle of nowhere. Compost toilets were well-maintained. No showers needed when there were lovely waterfalls. Fully equipped kitchen where the cooks prepared multiple tasty dishes including good veggie options. Good opportunity to disconnect with no phone signal or WiFi. Just need a few hammocks around!!

Would definitely do another tour if I can.

Oxalis was a dream to book my last caving trip. I went on the Hang Tien cave trip and it was beyond amazing! The company was very thorough in the pre-planning process, organized and thorough in explaining all the safety measures, and beyond helpful and informative during the trip. The amount of staff that they have in order to make sure that every participant feels safe and has an enjoyable time was beyond. I hope to go on the Son Dong cave excursion in the near future and could not be more excited to have Oxalis to guide me through the caves.
