About
We are a small family owned business. We have been in business since 1994. We invite you take a lazy, leisurely ride or a more adventurous ride. We have six passenger airboats that can reach speed speeds up to 60 mph. Our airboats can acutally ride on the marsh or deep in the cypress swamp where most tours can not go. You can take the 15 passenger United State Coast Guard certified airboats that can run the shallows at 40 mph. Our tour is just 25 minutes southwest of the Orleans Airport, 45 minutes from downtown N. O., and 90 minutes southeast of Baton Rouge. We travel to a quiet fishing village where time seems to stand still. Discover one of the most unique and individualized swamp rides in Louisiana. We are minutes away from the Plantations. We have great Cajun cooking locally. RV parks are nearby. Please call for availablity and prices. Children under five are free under 13 years old are discounted $10. We do not take anyone under 2 years old. Custom tours are available.

Great experience for young & old. Our 3 year old loved the exoskeleton & so did grandma. Arthur was able find many of the large alligators that he fed from the boat so the came right to the side so we could see them up close. He explained about how the rains affected their habits & mating season. We took the evening tour so it got dark & we were able to see the red of the alligator eyes. He also showed us baby alligators & we were able to touch them. We went through the swamp areas & also saw birds & different trees as well as duck blinds. It was an excellent tour & would recommend.

We recently took a tour on a smaller boat with another couple on board and Jeremy as our guide. From start to finish the experience exceeded our expectations.
Check in was simple with friendly chit-chat until time to depart. Jeremy was very knowledgable and provided interesting commentary throughout.
The alligators, up close, were a highlight and Jeremy found the right balance of fast and thrilling racing over the water with up close views of the vegetation and wildlife.
We drove two hours out of our way to do this tour and would do it again in a second. Truly a highlight of our trip

We were visiting New Orleans for my husband's birthday and wanted to do something extra special on his actual birthday besides a great dinner in NOLA. This was definitely the ticket! It was about a 50 minute ride but it didn't feel that long and was definitely worth the drive. We did the 1 hour tour with Captain Craig who was funny, extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. He went out of his way to be sure we all had a great time, met all the local alligators and taught us a lot about the area. We had some up close and personal interactions with more than a few alligators! It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. We will do it again when we come back with our daughter :)

Went on the dusk tour..make you spray with insect repellant lol. Arthur was great and the tour was awesome. He answered all of our questions and he and his wife were very personable. We saw several alligators even though the waters were very high. I would highly recommend this tour. The sunset was beautiful.

We just finished our hour tour. Six family members in the small boat and it was FANTASTIC! Ti begin with, the staff was friendly and personable. The guys in our group were impressed with the speed! We enjoyed sighting 5 gators in different areas. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and took time to answer all our questions. This was a highlight of our trip to LA! We took a tour through the Everglades several years ago, but this was by far a more fun adventure. If you book this tour you will not only gain a new appreciation for cypress trees, gators, birds, wetlands, but come away smiling with great memories of time well spent!

Took the evening tour so we could see the sunset. Arthur was informative throughout and had great stories as well as answered all our questions. We were able to see 3 of the larger alligators as well as some smaller alligators.

Jordan was an amazing tour guide and went above and beyond. He answered all of our questions to the best he could and made appropriate fun. We giggled a lot and had an amazing time.
The bus rides were bumpy and noisy but fine. It was well worth it to ride from downtown NOLA to the swamps. The bus was cheaper than Uber. The driver called when he was a little later than expected pickup.
We had an amazing time and it was great to get out of the city.

We went out on an airboat tour back in December it was one of the best tours I've been on. There were 6 of us in the group and everyone loved it. It's a family run business and they're good people. Jeremy is a topnotch tour guide who is a wealth of information. If you're in New Orleans you have to drive out and take an airboat tour. It's a must do.

Such an amazing tour with Craig Matherne! The owner, Arthur, was there to send us off on our adventure. So glad I scheduled this for my three grands and guests visiting from Georgia. Loved learning about and seeing the swamp wildlife. How awesome to have the huge gators swim right up to the boat. After teaching in this area for 33 years, it was definitely time to take this adventure.

We( 3 generations) went on a delightful airboat swamp tour today. Amazing sights: alligators, bald eagles, blue herons, egrets, wild water flowers, cypress trees and knees, cattails, lily pads, etc . We even got to pet a baby alligator in the wild ! Our guide was outstanding ( Craig Matherne). I would highly recommend this tour run by wonderful people.

Hi. Flying from Norway to Nola for the tenth time and it’s about time for an airboat trip. Went once in Orlando, but only saw a bird and a few turtles. How is the wildlife and the chances of seeing gators late September and until mid October ?
Cathy M
Des Allemands, LA1 contribution
The alligators normally are out until late October to mid November depending on the weather conditions. If we get an early cold front the alligators will burmate earlier.

How often do you see Al the huge 1000 pound alligator? Also is end of August a good time to see alligators. We just went one a tour in FL everglades and only saw 1 bird.

No idea about August visit time, we were never there in August.
As to Al - we saw him once, but only made one trip, so that is logical.

I will be booking a tour next weekend, it's only a $10 difference. What do you recommend, the 6 or 14 boat passenger? Is there a difference? Thanks!

The smaller airboats go faster and are more personal. Both airboats go in the same place. The larger airboat goes about 40 mph. We get good feedback from both size airboats. Call me if you want to discuss further.
Bonjour, ou puis-je réserver ? le site web ne permet pas de réserver

Site says best contact is by phone but I cannot find a phone number. Have a group of 8 senior ladies wanting to book an Airboat tour. I think we would enjoy a smaller boat. I am interested in costs and exactly where you are located. We plan to take this tour on June 10. Interested in any discounts you might offer. We have AARP, military, or group. Cathy

I am spending 8 days in New Orleans and would really like to take an Airboat tour, but looking at the map it looks as if it's 45 minutes out of downtown. Could anyone advise the best way to get there
Cathy M
Des Allemands, LA1 contribution
The cheapest option is a rental car. You have it for the whole day and you can explore at your leisure. We do have several services that can pick you up on a round trip. They will wait for you. If you decide to do Uber/Lift, make sure that they will be back to pick you up. Just call us for transportation info.

What is the adult price for the airboat tour and what times do they run?
Cathy M
Des Allemands, LA1 contribution
We charge $50 for an hour or $70 for ninety minute per person on the six passenger airboat.
We also, have a fifteen passenger airboat that we charge $40 for an hour or $55 for ninety minutes per person.
We suggest that you make an appointment before coming on the tour. The best contact is by phone.
