Lovely plantation. We learned a lot. John was a great guide! Lunch in the cafe was very good, especially the eggplant Napoleon. Highly recommend a visit!

Having a minimum amount of time, we chose to visit this plantation as a contrast to Laura. This one focuses on everyday life of the white owners of a rich plantation. Because this house is the 20th century restoration love-child of a single owner with...More

Excellent in every way! Perhaps the loveliest of the gardens that we saw on our Louisiana plantation River road trip. Lovely house, well appointed, beautifully furnished, excellent restaurants, gift shop, house tour, absolutely marvelous day out at a lovely estate.

Michael, the tour guide, took us from beginning to end. We looked at the entire fixture that the preservation society had endeavored to restore and reinforce. It fascinated my wife and me with its ties to Native American background, the South's legacy, and the luxuriant...More

While visiting Louisiana, we wanted to tour a plantation. We are so happy we chose to tour Houmas House. Debby, our tour guide brought the place to life with her colorful stories. We could not recommend this tour more.
