Lovely plantation. We learned a lot. John was a great guide! Lunch in the cafe was very good, especially the eggplant Napoleon. Highly recommend a visit!

Having a minimum amount of time, we chose to visit this plantation as a contrast to Laura. This one focuses on everyday life of the white owners of a rich plantation. Because this house is the 20th century restoration love-child of a single owner with...More

Excellent in every way! Perhaps the loveliest of the gardens that we saw on our Louisiana plantation River road trip. Lovely house, well appointed, beautifully furnished, excellent restaurants, gift shop, house tour, absolutely marvelous day out at a lovely estate.

While visiting Louisiana, we wanted to tour a plantation. We are so happy we chose to tour Houmas House. Debby, our tour guide brought the place to life with her colorful stories. We could not recommend this tour more.

Be sure to walk the grounds of this lovely plantation home. There are hidden gems throughout the gardens (art & statues). The tour of the house was delightful. If you are fortunate enough to get John Hébert as your tour guide, you are in for...More
